The entire reason I’ve ever bought consoles and games was because I could get used games at a bargain and also sell my old consoles and game collections when I’m done with them. I can’t imagine that I’m the only person who looked at it this way.

Now console producers pull shit like this when they can’t even claim to be more user friendly than PC because SteamOS is a real competitor.

Well I guess it was good while it lasted, at least until the last few years when greed fully took over. Microsoft is already on it’s last leg and Sony and Nintendo are going to follow eventually.

  • I have two I think:

“Who will survive and what will be left of them?” by Murder By Death

It’s a cohesive concept album with a really kick ass Western story about the devil taking over a small Western town. Cowboys and zombies and demons and holy shit it’s just so fucking cool. I think it was written as a theological thesis.

“Pink Lemonade” by Closure in Moscow. Every track is an absolute fucking banger. The technical musicianship and brilliant use of genre and style are seriously like nothing else I’ve ever heard.

Runnerups for me in no particular order: Justamustache - Thunder Birds are Now! Bleeds - Wednesday, there goes the neighborhood - kid kapichi, the software slump - grandaddy

I guess I should have been more specific. I was talking about what the DOJ has released since Trump’s second term.

As far as evidence of tax evasion or anything not related to trafficking, that’s not what most people mean when they refer to the Epstein files. To me that seems obvious, but maybe not to everyone else.

We all know Trump is crooked and corrupt. He’s doing it in plain sight. What people want is evidence of powerful and wealthy people involved in sex crimes with underage women. If any evidence of that kind exists, it’s not being released or at least has not been released yet.

That’s because the DOJ hasn’t released any actually damning information. They released enough to fuel further conspiracy BS (ugh the jerky thing is so embarrassing for those morons that bought into it), but there’s no way they are going to release our disclose anything that is doing to harm those they are trying to protect. That shit is buried or destroyed if it ever existed in the first place. Only chance we will see anything real is if Trump’s folks kept evidence they can use as leverage or blackmail in the future.

  • It’s a sign of a failed system, but even billionaires are too much. No one individual/family should have that much wealth or power. The first billionaire was just over 100 years ago, and look at us today. The point is, once someone has that amount of wealth, reality bends around them making them powerful enough to protect themselves. They then influence the state which is not there to represent them, but us. All serious nations must consider a 100% wealth tax on anyone with over 10 million in net worth. Capitalism has made it a long time, sure. And one could argue life at the bottom is marginally better than feudalism or whatever, sure. But obviously we’re at the end of the experiment and need a reset.

  • Neither of my parents have any kind of savings at all, they basically only ever made enough to get by. My mom gets a very meager stipend from being a teacher. They both retired this past year and are drawing social security. It’s already really tight for them. I know when they get older I’m gonna have to sell their houses to make sure they have enough money to live on and the medical care they deserve. No idea where they will live at that point. Isn’t America great? Work hard your whole life to struggle to make it when you’re too old to work…
