I really question why I would choose this over a 5060 Ti gaming laptop or PowerSpec rig for roughly the same price as the 2tb w/controller option. I guess it looks good, but I can use creative cabinet placement to hide a tower or laptop if I need to. For now, I am not sure it’s for me, but it looks good, although maybe not that controller.

I fully expect the next-next Gen Consoles to be similarly priced due to the whole shortages thing for the AI Gold rush.

I also can’t wait to see it torn down and to find out how repairable it is.

Yes, Dune 2 is available on most abandonware sites, but you can get it at other sites like Nahoo, or my preferred is the Dune2k forum, they have a section with some bug fixes and other things done by the community to make the game better, specifically I want to say nyerguds is the patcher/bug fixer, something like that.

I just finished the first quest of the game for I guess close to the 40th time yesterday, it has been my go to for almost 40 years apparently, holy crap how time really does fly.

I have never finished the second quest though. :/

So, they increased the price to buy into their ecosystem with a second price hike this year, now they are asking a grand for a handheld, they must really want out of gaming, I know the tariffs suck but this just comes across as too much.

It’s $999 plus taxes in most places, then you need Game Pass Ultimate to stream games to this thing, something they are using as a selling point, that’s a couple hundred per year and like any streaming service subject to sudden increases. I just don’t understand where they thing people are getting this money, there are signs people have already started pulling back.

The Series S which was under powered according to a lot of devs even on release, is now 400 dollars for 500GB, 450 for 1TB, then the Series X now ranges 600 Digital, 650 Disc, 730 2TB, 800 2TB special color. As someone that has preferred Xbox since the OG, I think they’ve lost it, at least for now the PS Pro is 750 and objectively the better.

It feels, to me, like they are doing a very slow merger of the iOS and macOS systems, eventually I believe they want it to be just one that scales to the device.

I knew both of my Great Grandmothers, our family had a habit of starting early so to speak. Andrew screwed himself with that TV interview, he could likely have weathered it by keeping his mouth shut and just issuing a statement similar to what Donald says, I knew him, found out he was a creep and tossed him out of Mar-a-Lago. I seem to remember at one point an attorney for Guilffre claimed that had he not said he didn’t know or meet her in that TV interview there wouldn’t have been a lawsuit.

I also question if this move will mean the end of those low cost Chromebooks that got so many to use them, and schools to purchase them. It’ll be interesting to see where this ends up.
