For America’s adversaries and the Dark Enlightenment who financed Trump, it’s the best decision. Elements within the Trump admin have the stated goals of dismantling democracy, destroying the economic world order, and collapsing civilization. These people supported Trump because of the absolutely shortsighted, selfish and stupid decisions he would make.
When parties are roughly evenly matched, elections often turn on irrelevant or misleading considerations such as economic spurts or downturns beyond the incumbents’ control; the outcomes are essentially random. Thus, voters do not control the course of public policy, even indirectly.

Duverger’s law, the way the elections are winner takes all makes it mathematically certain there are only two viable options. It’s basic math which people failed at.
That depends on the target audience. It certainly plays into the Dark Enlightenment’s objective of scapegoating (mimetic theory) the chaos agent (Trump) tasked with dismantling democracy. By some metrics, the US is no longer a liberal democracy, so it must follow that phase 2 of establishing an authoritarian state techno-monarchy will begin during/soon after Trump’s actual removal.

122·3 months agoA core element of the Dark Enlightenment is the mimetic theory of desire, especially its scapegoat mechanism. Trump was supported by the tech oligarchs to serve as a chaos agent in dismantling democracy, to then be scapegoated and removed from office after destruction was complete. Credible institutions have noted the US is no longer a liberal democracy, but an electoral democracy, the autocratization process is still in process. It’s doubtful he will be removed before fully ending democracy, and especially not before midterms, I suspect next year is when those efforts truly take off, maximizing Vance’s time in power to carry out Thiel & Co’s utopian vision of a Balkanized technofeudal America, an antithesis to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

0·3 months agoVance is Dark Enlightenment, the plan going in was Trump to serve as chaos agent to dismantle democracy and then scapegoated (mimetic theory) after the destruction was complete. Vance would then step in to “rebuild” a utopian society from the ashes as Peter Thiel envisioned. The presupposition here is that democracy is effectively ended, it’s not working as planned and they would hold off until after midterms before impeach/25th Trump to maximize success in establishing whatever technofeudal dystopia they’ve decided on.
We can make morals out of science, it establishes truth and can serve as a foundation for moral development.
Argumentum ad odium fallacy. A dark triad personality will always adopt a vulgarized form of any philosophy to suit their own interests, that doesn’t make the philosophy inherently bad, it’s a tool like anything else, and can be used for good or evil.
You’re describing accelerationism.

Fun fact: The Führerprinzip and the unitary executive theory both stem from the works of Nazi philosopher Carl Schmitt.
