I bought a Wii U. It had some good games at the time, but Nintendo’s strategy over the last 10 years has just been to rerelease those games with better performance and new content. I wish I’d just waited.

Real Parmigiano Reggiano isn’t vegetarian thanks to the rennet, so an alternative of equal quality would be worth the price to anyone avoiding meat products.

0·3 months agoI hope they improved the dpad compared to the one on the Steam Deck. The Deck’s dpad feels quite mushy, and the glossy texture doesn’t help. I’d love a high quality controller with dual trackpads.
If this happens, there’s a good chance companies like Nintendo and Sony will double down on trying to erase emulation as an option. Anyone developing emulators will be targeted (even moreso than they already are), and ROM sites will be taken down making it harder for the average person to find games. Now is a great time to build up an offline ROM collection ahead of this potentially happening in a few years, even if storage is currently expensive.
I moved to Cachy (Arch-based OS) in 2024, and it’s been perfect for me. I’ve used Linux since around 2012, and tried to move to it as a daily driver several times over the 2010s, but I wasn’t able to stick with it due to drivers/software compatibility. Cachy is the first time it really clicked, and offered everything I wanted without needing to dual-boot.
People always talk about how complicated Arch is, but learning it was almost completely frictionless. It stays out of the way when I want it to, and I can go down a tinkering rabbit hole whenever I want. I can update stuff three times a day, or forget about updates for several weeks and just run the command whenever it springs to mind. I found it way easier to pick up than Ubuntu too due to the Arch wiki.

Released doesn’t necessarily mean finished. Subnautica 2 has been released to the public, in early access.
