some Democratic party aides believe Trump – who, among other things, overcame a criminal conviction and other such charges to win – has sufficiently overturned the norms of losing White House candidates’ not attempting a second bite at the proverbial apple to give Harris the opportunity of a repeat bid in 2028, this time for the full cycle.
“If Trump can do it, so can we” is the wrong lesson to learn. What a bunch of maroons.
The path forward is clear. Kamala needs to cultivate a cult of personality so rabid that it forces all democrats to toe the line. Super easy. Especially on the left.
At this point I don’t think this can even be explained by incompetence. It has to be malice.

America is too racist and misogynist for her to win even though she was a great candidate.

The same one that was VP to Joe “poor kids are as smart as white kids; I don’t want my kids to grow up in a racial jungle” Biden, the most right wing Democrat president since before the southern strategy, himself being the reason student loan debt isn’t dischargeable in bankruptcy?
Yeah. Foreign policy including immigration makes her as bad as Trump. Domestic policy is the same trickle down that Obama and Biden pushed.
That’s funny when Obama and Biden had no history of cutting taxes on the rich, which is the central pillar of trickle down economics.
Obama actually hiked taxes on the wealthy as part of the ACA, in addition to letting Bush’s most egregious cuts expire instead of renewing them.
Biden made no major changes to tax policy, though has been pushing to increase the corporate tax rate.
Both Biden and Harris are also on record advocating for the implementation of an unrealized capital gains tax, which would be a huge step, though unlikely to be implemented without a large congressional majority. (which is unlikely)
I’m convinced the top Dems are masochists and get off on losing.
They’re not loosing so long as the illusion of choice is preserved.

I mean the voters were factually wrong. But that doesn’t matter because all that matters is that they lost the election.
There’s a glimmer of hope that a couple really old, powerful Democrats will die or retire in the next four years, and we’ll see some policy change.
