The White House has dug in on its refusal to return a man who US officials have acknowledged was wrongly deported last month from Maryland to an El Salvador mega-prison.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt doubled down on accusations that Salvadoran national Kilmar Ábrego García was a member of the MS-13 gang, which his lawyer denies.

Leavitt also accused the 29-year-old of domestic violence, citing records showing his US citizen wife once filed a protective order against him.

A Maryland judge has ordered President Donald Trump’s administration to bring Mr Ábrego García back to the US. But El Salvador President Nayib Bukele said on a visit to the White House this week that he did not “have the power” to return him.

Of course not - the U.S. is run by a dictator who is being run by a foreign dictator.

Republicans all do what putin tells them to do - else no more money.

Really? You think the courts will do something? You allowed a self proclaimed dictator to take power who has 34 felony convictions on record and has never spent one second in prison.

Someone should go to prison…You’re joking right?

Whether the courts will or won’t do something is irrelevant to the fact that Trump and probably most of his administration should be in prison.

They allowed a self proclaimed dictator to take power a couple of months after the courts decided that presidents should have dictator powers and the full plans for what they’re doing now called project 2025 was doing the rounds.

I truly feel bad for the good and decent people that were born into a country of fucking sociopath illiterate inbred clowns but Donald Trump’s ‘approval’ rating has never even gone below 40%. In fact just last night I saw an article saying that his approval rating has actually rebounded a little bit.

I used to love Americans. There’s still a few that I think are pretty cool. But this whole thing has changed my opinion of them in general. In a not at all good way. I think I despair more about the otherwise decent seeming people who claim they voted for the price of eggs or some shit than I do about the stereotypical ‘Murica’ people that worship Trump like Jesus. My image of the USA was betrayed the most by those people.

I can admit I haven’t been the biggest fan of americans since Bush Jr. I stopped travelling to and even buying a lot of American products then and never restarted. That was the beginning of the end for me. It’s been a quick slide downhill ever since. When citizens were being attacked for opposing a violent incursion into a country for no reason other than to placate a president that was enough to see the direction they chose. Openly, without shame and even aggressively pushing their opinion down the throat of not just their own citizens but the world.

Bush Jr was the speed run for trialing dictatorship in the US in modern times. He was a great trial run and very effective at advancing the message.

I don’t think it’s in his interest to do any of that. He does not control the machinery that influences public opinion and he doesn’t have money like the richest people in the world have money.

You’re not completely wrong, but I think he still needs at least most of them. They help inform him of strategy via data harvesting and the means of selling it to his supporters, trump does not have the ability to do that all on his own.

Got to admit, he’s accomplished a shit ton in his first 100 days already, way more than basically any president in history.

He’s doing a fantastic job of destroying the country in every single way simultaneously. Not just destroying the democracy directly, but all American influence and soft power worldwide. He has already managed to do more damage to America than any terrorist attacks ever could have imagined, in record time.

See, that’s very true… but he clearly is doing some shit on his own. The tariffs serve no useful purpose, not for political gain, or for the billionaires, it is actually bad for them. They’re stuck trying to ride the wild and unplanned market volatility from the inconsistencies and rollbacks.

If anything, it seems like that’s the shiny thing they’re letting him focus on so he doesn’t do other stupid shit that gets in the way of the actual plans.

Nah, Bin Laden couldn’t do this. He didn’t own media empires or any kind of business in America. The likes of Thiel, Musk, Trump, DeSantis, and so forth are the true architects of America’s death. They are the embodiment of the saying…

                1. USA is the world’s only superpower, and puts military bases around the world
                2. Saudi Arabia is one of the countries with military bases
                3. A Saudi man is angry with US military bases in his country
                4. That Saudi man executes a plan to crash airplanes into American skyscrapers
                5. USA invokes NATO’s article 5, the one and only time it has ever been invoked

A country spends most of its lifetime muttering about “dfndn frdm” and watching people die in mass violence daily… and then when the promised tyrant actually shows up, everyone just watches and tuts. The thing that will determine the winner of an armed uprising is, as always, anyone with the unified backing of the military or the support of powerful external benefactors.

I replied to your post of the satellite photo in another thread. See my reply here. In short, the strange spill and material has been present in the yard of that building for at least a month. If it’s permanent, it could indicate a washing facility or slaughterhouse. Jumping to conclusions is not a good way to proceed when you don’t check the context of a satellite photo.

Regarding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, see this post on Twitter, a US senator was able to meet him:

His lawyers can try to split hairs about “facilitate” vs. “effectuate” but saying he will never come back to the US after being ordered to try to get him back to the US seems like the most obvious violation possible of a 9 - 0 supreme court decision. If republicans were honest, trump could be removed from office by Saturday morning. What would there be to even investigate?

If a domestic violence allegation is all it takes to get send away, then 40% of all police officers in this country need to GTFO on that alone.

(Not saying domestic violence is good, obviously. Just using their logic here.)
