    The Rumjacks. Irish punk / rock / folk and very good.

    The original singer had some issues, and was replaced by another singer with a great voice :)

    Hump Back - 「番狂わせ」(Upset) - Will likely have to watch it through Invidious or a VPN with an exit node in Japan, afaik it region locked to Japan only… ;-;

    The band was somewhat recently featured on Bocchi the Rock with one of the scenes in the linked video being adapted into the cover page.

    King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. About to release their 27th album and have covered pretty much every genre so no matter what you like, there’s probably a record for you. My favorite is the Flying Yellow Microtonal Banana, full of great tracks, but Billabong Valley has broad appeal.

      King gizzard are exceptional, only downside is that it can be a little intimidating with 27 studio albums to choose from for a first listener! Honestly a good method to pick based on what you like is from their album covers, they do a pretty good job summing up what it’ll sound like imo.

        The other way to navigate it is if you get into the storyline of the Gizzverse, the fictional universe that is referenced throughout their songs, but not in chronological order. Trying to piece it together has encouraged me to branch out and listen to albums I otherwise might have ignored.

        You have great taste! I saw him during a Subtle tour back in the day.

        If you haven’t heard his album with Alias, Less is Orchestra, it’s one of my favorite albums of all time. I could not recommend it more.

          Ah awesome, would have loved to have seen cLOUDDEAD at the time myself, enjoyed most of the stuff on Big Dada too.

          Gave All Portrait, No Chorus a listen and dug it (was that a Cannibal Ox ref in the first track?!), will add the Alias/Dose One collab to the list… thanks!

            Ooo pleeease check out Less is Orchestra, it’s seriously amazing. I’ve had multiple friends ask who it was when in my car, even friends who don’t like that kinda music. I think it’s in my top five albums of all time right now.

      From what I know, Keeso himself is the guy.

      Agreed, some of the best music selection for a show of all time.

      Don’t sleep on the Shoresy soundtrack either.

        I haven’t gotten to Shoresy yet but yes I hear that. Keeso is a gem, should be on stamps. His performances are just meticulously crafted.

            Also I LOVE that they used French Canadian music on the show! It’s so nice to hear. I will start Shoresy soon, just Letterkenny echoing in my head a bit right now. Sometimes I just play the episodes and only listen because I find the dialogue comforting as I work.

      I remember seeing all the hype for that record when it came out but didn’t get it until catching them live at Outbreak fest, immense stuff
