Because not all fursonas are dogs.
It’s a stereotype that’s about half right 'cuz, as of the last furry survey, about half of us are dogs, wolves, or other canids. Add in the werewolves and it’s a solid majority.
As an outsider to the furry community, that sounds about right. I mostly see dogs, wolves and foxes.
Then in second place I would say it’s a tie between the ammount of lions and tigers and bears.
