Probably because the check cleared.
Trump sells pardons, as was one of Rudy Giuliani’s duties in his previous administration.
Not even that, it was a deal basically to keep Libertarians from voting against him in swing states. It was a big deal when he announced it during the Libertarian Party convention. The Libertarian Party also nominated Chase Oliver, who was widely disliked by convention members, which I suspect might also have been part of a deal.

That’s not “all he did”. Not by a long shot.

Dude was out there hiring hitmen to take out sellers on his market. Now he’s free.
Lol, yeah I followed this trial as it was happening and I remember them bringing up this bullshit accusation, but then never actually charging him because the charge was exactly that, bullshit.
Meanwhile at the FBI during the investigation: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/former-silk-road-task-force-agent-pleads-guilty-money-laundering-and-obstruction
Did you name yourself after authentic Bulgarian miak?

My understanding is that it never went to trial as they didn’t have enough to build a case on, and because he was already expected to be in prison for the rest of his life, anyway.
I wonder if they’ll re-open this investigation now.
Can’t reopen, they dismissed it with prejudice.
That link doesn’t load for me, could you screenshot or copypaste it?
Ah damn it’s not loading for me anymore either, looks like it’s gone. You could maybe find it in the modlog and screenshot it but I’m unaware of how to do such things. It was someone who posted a bunch of links that showed the charges were dismissed with prejudice and the agents were themselves charged for stealing a fuckton of bitcoin.
Here’s a link that seems to be saying the same thing in lieu of the intended post.

Whether or not one is successful is not what determines a murder-for-hire case; it’s whether or not they tried, at all.

I have literally no idea what point you think you’re making here.
