I’m a newbie but i really like Take No Prisoners by Megadeth
Photograph by Nickelback is a classic.
Side of a Bullet would almost work
If you consider Metalcore to be metal, then The year summer ended in June by Misery Signals.
Idk lol i’m new to this stuff
I really like a lot of Megadeth’s Hidden Treasures since they don’t pop up randomly so much I’ve never gotten tired of them.
Angry Again, 99 Ways to Die, Breakpoint, Go to Hell, Diadems. All great stuff.
Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony - Human
This album is a Top 5/desert island choice for me, but No Leaf Clover is my favorite, though I’ve worn it out so much over the years.
Oooh, same. That version of No Leaf Clover is waaaaay up there for me. That and The Memory Remains.
I’m in the weird position that that album was my introduction to metallica, so any version other than the full symphony sounds weird to me 😅
Same here. It was not only my introduction to Metallica, it was literally the first album to get me into non-country music (it’d kinda become my identity as a kid) and the first non-country album I HAD TO BUY (and the first CD purchase that worried my parents). I’ll never forget waking up to my cousin playing that song and thinking, “WHAT. IS. THAT. AMAZING. SOUND!?”
Thats a hard one. But im a sucker for Metropolis part 1 by dream theater.
Atropos by Periphery
Opeth - Black Rose Immortal
Got me into metal when I was very young, and overall it’s an incredible song.
As the others mentioned, there’s way too many options.
Heimat - Equilibrium (folk metal)
Score to a new beginning - Fairyland (symphonic metal)
Seven pillars of wisdom - Sabaton (power metal)
Right now its still probably Killing Time and Space by Nekrogoblikon. Goblins, cosmic history, and a banjo? In my metal? Helllll yeah brother.
What kind of metal do you like?
Meshuggah - Bleed
Rotting christ - ze nigmar
Wizard Fight by Weedeater. If I had to choose.
I don’t have a favorite but Error Detection by Nemophila is an often played song in my list right now.
No Surrender by Beast in Black
Archspire - Drone Corpse Aviator, first song that popped in my head thinking of contemporary metal
Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face, groovy and brutal
Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis, grungy doom goodness, love that bass line
The Prince by Metallica is always a banger.
