I get nothing but a travel advertising site.

linkjust.com says: Shorten URLs and earn money

It’s harvesting clicks for money, as far as I can see.

      Same here.

Here’s the Reuters article that I’m assuming this headline was taken from:

      https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-plan-import-argentine-beef-angers-us-farmers-2025-10-20/

I was actually curious, and went looking. There is an “AgTalk” forum. It does sound fairly conservative.

Some people talking about Argentinian beef…

      https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=7

Farming, farming, farming…someone pissed off at Microsoft for Windows 11 and switching to Linux…

      https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1217663&mid=11404784#M11404784

My old junk is not upgradable to Windows 11 and I am not sure I want to go there anyway. There is something nostalgic about my caveman existence that I think I want to keep. The deep dive into an all AI existence with an AI “buddy” monitoring everything I do doesn’t seem like an improvement to my life.

So what to do???   I have just started looking into a Lenox operating system and Ubuntu seems like one that is recomended. Has anyone went that direction? I have a son that has been using a version of Lenox for quite a while and likes it but I have never inquired much about his use. I am going to need to pick his brain.

Any experiences, ideas or advice? I use Brave for a browser and Thunderbird for email and I see that those are both supported. LibreOffice for spreadsheet, etc.

I guess there are some things that are just universal across the political spectrum.

Beef has been pretty expensive lately. Are beef farmers not making a fair bit of money right now?

Nah. Market weight steer prices have gone up at auction, and herd sizes are down, but not as much as wholesale beef has gone up. Middle man processors (who are monopolized via the USDA licensing process) are raking in the dough because fuck you.
