If someone was pushed in, the worst thing that’d happen is them being mildly annoyed.

I commented on the last canal questioning but that post got deleted. I’m assuming it’s the same person since this is such a specific topic.
Hmmm u forget how fucking cold they are, as well as there potentially being hard/sharp rocks, weeds to get your feet tangled in. Not denying there are many far easier ways of kicking the bucket, but it aint impossible, especially if the person in question is frail or has an illness of some kind. They could also panic if they cant swim and start splashing around and put themselves in more bother.
Can’t swim? Not an issue since the water in a canal is still and only waist deep. There’s no need to even try to swim.
This has to be one of dumb things someone’s said right before they drowned in a puddle in their front yard.
What if u fell in head first and/or hit ur head on the freezing cold bottom?

You can drown in a couple inches of water. 3 feet deep is almost 20 times as much depth as you’d need to drown.
