So we are actively building this app called HopONN where you can enter the category/game you want to do/play, setup up few of your preferences and then jump into a matchmaking queue.
When you jump into the queue, the app matches you with people that has similar interests to your preferences and let’s you have a chat/call with them in a temporary place called vibe room.
This vibe room is purely temporary and currently has around 15 mins of timeout time. So, based on how you felt about the other people’s vibes inside the Vibe Room you can choose to retry, cancel or match with that people to continue talking with them.
After matching, the app moves you to a permanent room with much more features. The permanent room is added to your left side bar where you can access them any time later. The room allows you to chat, talk, share your screen, invite other friends and annoy your newly made friends further without any limitations.
If you don’t want to match but still create a room with your friends to hang out in our app. You can always click “Create Room” button located under the “Create Lobby” page. This allows you to create a room where you can invite your friends without needing any matchmaking.
The app comes with both Web version and a Desktop application and you can also try the app for a day without any registration needed!
Note: Due to app being super new it currently lacks signatures for windows systems (sorry about that) and might throw some warnings if you try to install it anyway. We understand that how this might make you super hesitant to download it, so that’s why we also provided a web version that you can try without any installation or registration needed We are doing our best to sign the app as soon as possible but this app is still in super early beta so thank you for your patience,

Just the way you talk, my man, you will go nowhere like this. First of all … AI slop. Second of all “find out if the app is SHIT or not” is not a sentance I would like to hear from anyone promoting their amazing hard work … of course yours is neater amazing or hard whatsoever, but anyways.
I might have miss express myself here so thank you for the warning. The “landing page” is really an AI slop no lies there and I don’t think there would be no point of lying for that as well, any experienced developer can see that in a glance. However, the app itself is not AI slop as I mentioned above and of course we really put in some hard work for it and of course we don’t think it is really shit. We even think its pretty good for how early it is. However, we are saying that we understand if you call the app “shit” and we are not here to get offended for any criticism. We are basically here to learn, get the first impressions, note down who gets offended for what. We are not going to stop developing just because some guy here thinks we should kill ourselves for even touching the LLM’s. I see that some people ignored the criticism here and tried the app anyway and I thank them for that.
I am very much sorry, but why does the website look like all these effortless, 1-day made, Codex/Claude/LLM-designed slop?
Why should anyone invest their precious priceless finite life time into a yet another slop that are being published at “AI”-related venues 50+ per day, or more?
Why not invest time into a more human-amde miracles, as https://gamedate.org/, for example?

The website itself is AI slop really but we put an effort on the app and is actually developed by us over the course of 1-2 years at this points. And for the comparision to https://gamedate.org/, you are of course free to choose whatever miracle you want to use but. We built a pipeline for actually matching with people via video call. Also made permanent rooms that you can use whenever you like to talk again with that people. I wish I could put a video here for a little demonstration but apparently I can’t.
You have misread the room lol, I don’t think you are likely to find many users here.
Thats also why there is no registration or paywall or anything else, you can just go web.hoponn.app and start using it as a guest to check it out say it’s shit/good and move on.
We don’t really care about thousands of people at the moment. As I said app is really in early beta. We just want to get actual opinion about the app/idea. You might call it shit, useless, useful or anything else. We just seek for real feedback. However, I get it I guess if there is a sniff of AI in any place you get shit on in this website and nothing we can do about it.

As I said the landing page is around 80% AI, the app is actually what we worked on but I don’t think we can impress anyone here at this point but we still got few feedbacks so thanks for that.
