Recently there has been talk of ‘AI psychosis’ where people lose touch with reality because they overuse AI chatbots and their obsequious behaviour reinforces unhealthy mental states. Well, I think that is likely a more general effect that doesn’t actually require chatbots. I think wealthy people are able to cut themselves off from most people while simultaneously ensuring that the people that are around are yesmen, which I suspect leads to the exact same thing as people are calling ‘AI psychosis’. It would explain why so many wealthy people are so…Off.
Honestly, that is what most rich people do. When you no longer have to struggle to get anything you want and you don’t really even have to work or worry about anything, shit like this is what you are left with.
