Asking for someone who wants to be a part of the atmosphere but who recently got in trouble for calling the Dockers the “purple team” :)
It should be a great day to go to the Royal Show, Outback Splash or Adventure World. It’s the first day for all three, and crowds will hopefully be small because of the Footy.
There should be screens up in the café strip of Freo but I suspect it’ll be beyond bedlam. I would try booking a table in a more suburban pub, although a lot of them will be booked out already.
Personally, I’ll be watching with 1500 other Aussies at 5.30AM in London!

Don’t know if I’ll watch, thought maybe get down to Freo, but it’ll maybe be too wild for the kids. The local footy club are thinking of putting the game on their big screen, might wander down to that.
Not sure though. Not a huge fan of AFL myself, so I’m not too worried about it, but I’m bloody happy and excited for them and hope they get that gong this time. Its been so long coming.
