Sehe ich genau so. Ich persönlich “glaube” an Rechtsstaatlichkeit. Klar, es klappt nicht immer so gut damit, aber wozu hat man sonst ein Grundgesetz, wenn man dann sagt: “klar ist das dagegen das Grundgesetz aber die Leute könnten sauer werden wenn man was tut”?

Not exclusively I don’t think but this is definitely an important aspect of all undemocratic, autocratic leaders: they tend to lose sight of what’s real because nobody who dares oppose them or even bring bad news can come close to them. No doubt one reason why we came up with having elections every X years.

You’re jumbling things together here that come separately from separate individuals and have nothing to do with one another. I will reply only to this one:

The people that unironically say RTFM.

If someone literally replies “RTFM” to your request I’m on your side.

If they reply something like “what you are asking is literally the first paragraph of that utlity’s man page” I find it much more reasonable. It might be nicer to then quote that paragraph, but it’s not wrong to point out that often the info you’re looking for is just a few keystrokes away, on your machine, even without an internet connection.

My favorite hate during urban commuting: black SUV with soccer mom* talking on the phone, turning across the bikelane one-handed. No blinker, barely a glance in my direction. I always go as fast and as close as I can without endangering myself. Them shocked and suddenly braking (way too late of course) satisfies me, but far too many still don’t notice.

But now I live in the countryside and that brings a whole different set of dangers with it.
