This mud has been around since 1990. I was one of the founders when I was in college, but no longer have the time to invest in it.

I’ve been in the industry for decades, and perform interviews for entry level up to and including principal level. This form of interviewing is absurd, invasive and useless. It will NOT tell you how good someone is… any monkey can write code, the real question I always try and get a handle on is:
Can they solve complex problems? How do they tear the problems apart? How do they apply technologies to do so?
In person (or video) is the ONLY way to tell how good they are.
Take home tests are useless.
Good on you for telling them no in a very professional way.
I hope you are able to find something soon, it’s a really tough market out there!!!

Make the deposits higher, then pool the deposits of those that fail to meet the requirements. Then at the end of the year award the pooled money to the climbers who returned the most trash. As someone else said gamify it…

Is it time to go back to the plugin-hell called Eclipse?
He was indeed… I’ll just leave this here. Mr Rogers

OMG - This game gives me flashbacks to my Netrek days: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netrek
I mean I get a new pillow and it’s great for maybe a month, then it flattens out to be too thin… add another pillow too high…
How hard is it to find a good pillow?!?!?
I use it a lot, and if you are getting these kinds of results you are either trolling, or just flat out not providing the details and guardrails required with your prompts.
I’ve been in software for decades, and if used correctly, yes it can accelerate velocity of building code out. 10x? No… if you are lucky and careful perhaps 2-4x.
As ALWAYS the human should be in the loop and is on the hook for any code generated.
