So yeah they cancelled my boat trip to Straddie yesterday due to the weather. Turned out to be one of the driest days in recent weeks, bummer.

And now it’s the weekend and it’s damn wet again. Grrrrrrr.

I’ve done two million construction site inductions, but this big boys stuff is new to me. Bloody boring and tiring for sure. Here’s hoping I don’t have to squirt Bob anytime soon.

Yay for Fri. Supposed to be going on a boat trip to Tipplers on Straddie today. It got cancelled yesterday due to the weather. I had a look and at one point it predicted storms, unsure what the forecast is currently. Bummer. So here I am at the ferry terminal at 4:10 am on my way to work instead. Bummer.

Also the “2 hour” online induction yesterday took 3 and a half hours which wasn’t the best thing I’ve done ever. I did it on a laptop at work at least so I shouldn’t complain.

I have now booked an online home builders course so I’ll hopefully have a go at that this weekend. You see ads for them saying they can be done in 3 hours, I’m not convinced.

Well, 6 hours on Fridays, 12 o’clock knock off which is pretty sweet. Half an hour paid smoko at 10:30 also, pretty sweet. So yay for Friday. Hope all our days go well.

The industry I currently find myself in is a pipe fabrication and installation company. I think I might just be a spotter for fire watch and the confined space work.

Had yesterday off due to feeling like I have some kind of cold thing. No actual symptoms though so that’s odd.

I’m going to a major site soon apparently. This means doing an online induction of about two hours today. I’ll do this in work time as I’ve seen others do that. Then the first three days of next week involve two different courses at a training facility. Working at Heights and confined spaces. Neither of which I fancy being a part of as I thought I’d left that stuff behind. I’m a TA and some sort of storeman these days at the large workshop. Were quite slack and I volunteered to go out on site to help out there. Oh well, the cushy time is over for now. Well I hope it’s just for now. More money I suppose.

Also I’m on a boat trip to Straddie tomorrow. Tipplers which I’ve never been to before. So a few days of not actually working. Can’t complain.

When I swipe right on my home screen lots of articles appear. If you read an article about say, U2 once you then get all manner of obscure shit about them. And so on.

Well I do read a fair bit about series and films, so I always get some reviews popping up. “Lost” often comes up, last week it was from a mob called “Collider” that pegged it at number 8 of the most intense Sci Fi shows ever. It pops up on Reddit recommendations a lot also. ( Jesus have I been put on some bum steers with recs about comedy movies from Reddit. ) So yeah it does keep popping up, and I simply couldn’t see the attraction.

I left a scathing one star review on IMDb too. Crock of shit.
