0·6 days agoThe only thing that would make them consider changing course is if a significant portion of gamers refused to buy games unless they come in a physical format. Sony knows that’ll never happen. People will complain to their heart’s content and then happily plonk down $80 for the next big digital only game release. Capitalism largely works the way it does because people don’t want to go without.

Happened to me. Lived in a building for multiple leases for $1100 -1300 a month over the course of seven years. Next renewal jumped to over $1800 per month. When I asked why, they said, "Because it’s what people are willing to pay. "
