If you’re going to use Alex Grey style artwork you should include “46 & 2”.
This is somewhat misrepresentative of the speech. Not that I want to defend the guy and yes it’s a bonkers thing to talk about but… https://www.instagram.com/reel/DetCmaPj0Og/?exln=MW1sbjlzdDNibjh2NQ%3D%3D

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What is your self hosted power draw?English
2·18 days agoI’m actually up at 1am because the two servers I brought online pushed my usage to around 1200W and it was too much for my UPS plus solar battery setup to keep up with. Also I just discovered that my power cable was too high a gauge and it melted to the extension cord, so I had to pry it apart with a screwdriver. Oops.
At full tilt I pull around 2500 watts, but I haven’t been fully up and running in months because I haven’t had enough available circuits in my panel. Just upgraded my home service to 400a so I should be able to run some new outlets this weekend.
Why even bother having memes if you’re just going to obfuscate words AND censor them too?
There’s a subreddit called TrumpZone or something like that that I joined because of all the over the top bootlicking memes. It took a few days before I realized that the memes weren’t being posted ironically and the members really were batshit crazy.
Duluth makes boxer briefs with a pocket in the front to hold everything in place, and you don’t have to strap anything in like this monstrosity.
Nobody in 1998 had the slightest idea what <3 meant.

0·6 months agoWe’re definitely seeing the price drops at the consumer level - 5kWh server-rack-style batteries are below $800 for UL listed models, which is nuts.
Used EV batteries are getting really cheap too, you can get as much as 80kWh for around five grand and use an open source BMS to use it for home storage.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is the "Gen z stare" a real thing?
0·7 months agoI’ve run into it, I think. Went out to eat with the wife and as we walked into the restaurant the hostess just stared at us, then picked up two menus and started walking. We were like, “Do we follow her or…?” And so, sheepishly, we followed her and she did indeed lead us to our seats. It was a couple weeks later when I first heard of the Gen Z stare. I showed my wife and we were like, oh… That was it, we guess.
I’ve seen it a couple other times - recently at CVS the guy at the pharmacy counter would just sort of stare at each customer without really acknowledging them until after they said what they needed. No greeting or pleasantries of any kind, and then he would go into his standard cvs scripted questions.
