That’s the one. Happens before the opening credits, iirc.

Since the suggestion box is open, I would like something to be done about our spines. They’re way too prone to injury.
I wish I were that comfortable right now.

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•The paper I got from the EMTs two days ago
0·17 days agoI’m curious why “neck mobility normal” is listed. I guess it pairs with the bit about the cranial nerve, but I don’t rightly see why that was mentioned either.

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•"No no... let him finish" - Kirk
0·1 month agoThe title font baffles me. Is it supposed to futuristic? Could they not get the rights from the tv show? This one they’re using says more “goofy” than “science” or “adventure” to me.

Funny@sh.itjust.works•The person who made this banner literally had ONE job
0·2 months agoIs her last name really Sink? If it is, is that why they placed her posture in front of one? Is that the joke? I’m very confused without any context.
The reverse can also happen.
It appears to already be happening again, early because of climate change.

0·2 months agoFrom the article: “Star Trek was by that point one of the longest-lived and most prosperous subjects of slash fiction.” ;) I approve of this writer.

0·2 months agoI felt like he never got enough screen time on Star Trek to develop much personality. Bester was by far my favorite role of his.

Maybe it’s because of where I grew up, but I could usually find a serviceable stick more easily than a decent rock.
If you provided your dog a job with a living wage, maybe they wouldn’t feel compelled to steal socks instead of buying them.
Well, see, there’s your problem <poke, poke>
Militaries all over the world start feasibility studies on it about every five years. Strangely, as soon as they get to the human-trials stage, the report, without fail, abruptly terminates.
I only care if I can hear and I consider myself fairly normal. In the car, 9 is usually where I can hear my podcasts over the road noise. 8 and I miss words. 10, and it eventually gets unpleasant. On the TV, I don’t know: I run all the audio through a tuner and it’s hard to see the numbers from the couch. Besides, I think it measures in dB, which I don’t understand. For most shows, I think it’s somewhere in the -30s.
We get eye drops by mail from a local specialty vet pharmacy. For our first few deliveries, the mailer contained one plastic bag with a prescription bottle and a second baggie with two green mints. Or rather, I assume they were mints. They were green like mints, but the bag wasn’t labeled. I don’t think they were individually wrapped, but I don’t exactly remember. I’m sure they were thank you mints, but I also couldn’t quite bring myself to eat an unlabeled item from a lab. They don’t do it anymore, and that makes me kind of sad.
It’s AI. The author/artist specifies on his page.
I don’t know what I did, Rogue, but I’m sorry and I’ll make it up to you. I swear.

Sure, but unless the company is still in business (I assume it is not), the joke still stands.
