  • Yeah they were doing that too but I mention the language stuff because it’s literally genocidal and IMO having an official state policy of “derussification” is more damning than mortar fire they can blame on “separatists” or “extremists”

If the extremists are in the legislature saying “you can’t speak Russian anymore, and if you live in these areas we’re taking away your pension” it’s kinda harder for Ukraine to deflect

  • oh by the way, definitely don’t look up when the majority of aid arrived (after the Soviets already turned back the Germans and had pushed halfway to Berlin)

They won the battle of Moscow in 1941, honestly probably saving the entirety of Europe by blunting and turning back the German advance. By the time they won Stalingrad and Kursk the germans were literally halfway defeated.

All of that is prior to the vast majority of lend lease aid arriving. And when the aid arrives, lol, you have all these Russian military commanders talk shit about the quality. Wow, the U.S. gave something like 12000 tanks compared to the 120000 the USSR built. The Russians complained they were dog shit and wouldn’t use them, lol

the best part is all of this info is readily available from Google’s own llm in case you’re too fucked to death stupid to think for yourself! it’ll even tell you “this info is from pro western sources,” because if you ewanna know what the Russians themselves thought of lend lease, it was “it was even more useless than that!”

  • hey you’ve got something in common with the fat old reactionary men i work with- a blind belief that the U.S. magically did all the work for the Soviets because they gave them a few trucks, as if the Soviets didn’t also rebuild their entire industrial base mid war in a feat comparable to the U.S. losing the entire eastern seaboard only to pack up and move everything west of the appalachians (while, again, being literally less than 50 years removed from “being a dirt farming tsarist shithole with the worst industrialization in literally all of Europe”)

I wonder what else you have in common with these worst losers i know.

  • How do you see the U.S. provably do all the shit like this that you think China does, rather overtly for the sake of profits for its corporations, and still think to yourself that things like this are either 1) true or 2) something that you should give a shit about anyway?

Like it’s been literally 200 years of looting the world for profits and there’s so much information known about this, like, from admission from the United states’s own historical documents (in case you’re too stupid to watch what they do and understand their motive, like a grade schooler could) but you’re all over here freaking out about Chinese solar panels spying on you, maybe, for reasons I’m sure you could never begin to articulate

I wanted to just tell you to die, so, this is me being overly polite to you

  • hopefully gonna be me, someday

thanks, medical system, thank you for having the receptionist freak the fuck out when they called me because my doctor needed to reschedule and they asked if I was fine with another doctor and I essentially said “I’m anxious about that because I’m worried my diagnosis is too old to be on my records, so I was really hoping to see my old doctor” and the guy heard anxiety and thought was having an active crisis forcing me to talk to a triage nurse, not taking no or any attempt to de-escalate, only for that nurse to realize that nothing was wrong before she immediately scheduled me with a doctor who doesn’t prescribe for or diagnose ADHD so now I have to wait a fuckin’ month to see someone else

when the guy could have just said “oh actually no it looks like your diagnosis and recent history of treatment is still on record”

  • No, that’s Why Socialism?

Fun fact, but under capitalism, you don’t really get to vote at all! You are only cleverly lied to and foolishly believe the alternative

Private capital tends to become concentrated in few hands, partly because of competition among the capitalists, and partly because technological development and the increasing division of labor encourage the formation of larger units of production at the expense of smaller ones. The result of these developments is an oligarchy of private capital the enormous power of which cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society. This is true since the members of legislative bodies are selected by political parties, largely financed or otherwise influenced by private capitalists who, for all practical purposes, separate the electorate from the legislature. The consequence is that the representatives of the people do not in fact sufficiently protect the interests of the underprivileged sections of the population. Moreover, under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information (press, radio, education). It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.

Every single thing einstein said here has only gotten infinitely worse over time, which should surprise literally nobody who learns that capital accumulates
