  • I always tell people to go back in time 100 years and try talking to people. Try 200 years, or 500, a 1000 years even. It grows increasingly difficult to communicate, and yet the language of today has no specific or definitive genesis.

It is language’s inherent nature to evolve and shift to fit the needs and whims of culture in its time. Denying that change or insisting upon a linguistic book of arbitrary rules, is childishly naive, ultimately unproductive, and a fucking massive waste of creativity.

As one of them autistic idiots, I really wish people would be straight up, clear as fuck, and brutally honest about everything they are feeling/ thinking. If your bored, just fucking tell me your bored. If you don’t want to be around me, just fucking tell me you don’t want to be around me. I’m not likely to be offended and then I don’t have play the agonizing game of “Guess That Weird Human Emotion I Can’t Comprehend”.

I don’t think your perspective is invalid in the slightest, just offering a different perspective of the same coin. As with every social thing, its all circumstantial. Saying something like this to your boss during a meeting or the VIPs at wedding, is probably not going to so well. But if you know the person and its helpful to them in some way, then I would actually encourage this language.

  • Thanks, Potential-Future-Boss-Man, for letting me know you’re an actual piece of shit who has unclear expectations and plays games with their employees. Now I know to work quite literally anywhere else.

An interview is a business transaction being negotiated and requires equal participation from both parties. The only ‘thank you’ that should be exchanged for such things is a solid handshake and a polite “Good day” when the interview is over. Be respectful and sincere, but don’t buy into the childish “I’m the boss and you must grovel at my feet for a penny” game that so many managers and corporate assholes love to play.
