  • People of the world. Hear my wisdom as an “old”

In the before times of home computing, anyone and their mother could make and try to sell video games, floppy disks and cassettes were plentiful. The barrier to entry was essentially non-existent. You could get fully fledged games in magazines. (In fact some magazines included the actual programme for you to type out yourself)

But it turns out when publishers just shovel slop onto the market it drowns out good quality Indy stuff and even some of the high production value games. This feels quite similar to before the great video game crash.

There’s a reason Nintendo started putting their “Nintendo seal of quality” on their games. To try and reassure buyers that they didn’t just shovel slop people mailed in. At one point you even had to send them a video tape with evidence the game could even be completed. Interestingly that seal is still found on their games.

We’ve almost returned to that state of low barrier to entry. Digital distribution means there is no real difficulty in physically producing and distributing the game. AI makes it so that anyone’s half baked idea can be shoved on Steam.

Don’t get me wrong there are many excellent games that would have struggled to make a name for themselves using steams old green light system.

  • What a wonderful brother!

I guess my answer is yeah, the bambu labs x2d would be excellent for a beginner. What I would say is that most mid-range printers these days are very user-friendly.

I’m sure some people will complain about bamboo labs’ behaviour. Especially around the open source licensing business. Which for the record is aggravating. Honestly for someone just entering the space, I don’t think it should be a dealer breaker.

I recently purchased a new machine after running my old one for the best part of 10 years. It was crazy how far the technology has come. I went for the snapmaker U1. It offers multicolor printing with a fraction of the waisted material.

To be honest. Until your sister has started doing some printing, it’s difficult to separate a lot of printers. She will get a feel for things like,:

what materials she generally prints What size prints she’s aiming for The speeds she needs

  • When I was around 20(M) my older boss regularly tried it on with me. She always tried to lean into me with her large chest. Then one day she basically exposed herself to me.

Another coworker said she did this with him too. Eventually we both explained this to upper management and she was gone within the week.

I always felt bad because Iin this case it was addressed quickly. Yet I know if my female co workes were in a similar situation… Well, I hear enough to believe that the story would be different. For the worse.

  • There is there classic film called passport to pimlico.

The story of how technically speaking pimlico belonged to some foreign prince. At the time because the post war rationing was making life difficult… They all decided to secede the UK. Only to find the actually rationing wasn’t that bad when faced with all of the other issues that came from being isolationist.

It was relevant then. It was relevant during the brexit referendum. And it is relevant today.

Although this shouldn’t be confused for the cases Scotland Ireland and Wales make for independence.
