Andy Harris should be arrested for being an insufferable and dangerous piece of sxxt. This is the man who tried to bring a handgun into the House chamber right after January 6th. He is by far the worst part of living in the state of Maryland, and I say this as someone who believes many of our democratic governor - Wes Moore’s - policies are an EXTREMELY distant second for that title.
Having to dial 911 in an actual emergency was the most harrowing experience ever. Waiting for the 9 to spin down made you feel like your heart would explode. Even worse if you jumped the gun on the following 1 and had to start over. Or you could dial the operator with a single 0, but that was a risky move in the late 80’s/early 90’s when operator services were being wound down.
Why do they basically censor number 15 with “OK” after he hits it…?
My ex (and her friends) from over 20 years ago peer pressured me (and probably her, too) into having sex way earlier than I intended. Then she regretted it and became increasingly distant. Not a typical “me too” story and I won’t pretend that the experience was anywhere near as traumatic as others have had, though it was traumatic for me and destroyed years of my young life.
This is not information we should expect from Asus, and Asus is right to not provide it to the press. This information should come directly from the United States government in an honest, transparent, and verifiable release. If the government is unable to provide such a release, then we are left to wonder what the government did that was so shady that they won’t follow even the most mundane of bureaucratic processes. Google was really awesome at a point in time. You could throw it the most obscure query using natural language with in-text Boolean operators and the number one result would direct you to an html-only geocities page that hadn’t been updated since 1999 with the EXACT answer you needed and citations from 3-4 actual, physical books to back up that answer. IMHO, those were peak times for the internet as an information resource; approximately 1998-2008.
Now every page just seems to be a bloated, poorly-coded monument to engagement baiting, subscription model services, and ad revenue generation. It’s genuinely sad to have watched the degradation over the years…

The trails around here are very prone to fallen trees and branches and sometimes there’s no easy way around when they come down. With that chainsaw, I can get myself and everyone else on the trail moving again before trail maintenance even gets the call.
I do mostly trail biking. I just started carrying a mini battery operated chainsaw in my bag a month ago and it’s already come in handy twice. I also carry the usual tools, a spare tube, a GMRS HT, solar powered GPS, first aid kit, and snacks. If I’m biking on the river trail, I throw a collapsible fishing pole in there, as well.
Yeah, I’m not really sure. I set up text replacement to do that on my phone a long time ago and I’ve never changed it. Can’t remember why I did it in the first place. It’s the same for bxtch, sxxt, a$$, and dxxn.
Not to mention the fact that they just effectively killed their own cloud gaming platform, which was the use case where this form factor made the most sense.
