oh, i assumed this is a function of the software, but you think it is a configuration issue on this instance?

Out of curiosity I just applied for an account on reddthat and it was approved soon after.

I did not give them an email, but I did follow the directions on the signup form… which, interestingly, also says that if you do enter an email address they will email you if/when you are approved but that they will NOT if you are denied… which is contradicted by your screenshot.

Anyway it seems like a good instance, federated with everyone and doesn’t require email.

I guess you probably didn’t follow the instructions on their signup form?
