If this ‘friend’ is having ED issues the first stop is to your GP to get ‘their’ heart checked out.
Specifically they’d go after commercially available VPN’s used for privacy and anonymity, not in-house jobs done by companies. Taylor Lorenz had a piece on this recently.
Might need a few hops if they coordinate with the EU but it could be done.
What I’d assume they would do with minimal information is have an agent purchase a subscription at an intermediary country and block all known servers at the ISP level by constantly switching and logging. This is just off the top of my head though.
0·6 months agoI honestly think he’s like 3 cheeseburgers away from a coronary. Whether that does him in or not remains to be seen, but he’s very visibly unhealthy, and has been looking worse and worse each week. At some point all the medical technology and wealth in the world becomes meaningless. Bodies are complex systems and effects can cascade: a heart attack might be fixable but surgeries to fix it might be fatal, especially to someone as old and unhealthy as he is.

0·7 months agoI know the US doesn’t allow internal studying of gun violence statistics because reasons but I feel like we can start making some disturbing extrapolations based on the extremely disturbingly high number of people who’ve survived MULTIPLE school shootings at this point.

Ah, that’s why my back has been hurting. Sorry, I’m still relatively new to Marxist philosophies (well, less than 10 years) so it took some time for the burden to get big enough for it to hurt that much.
