The trick to supporting local breweries is to support local breweries. Everywhere I’ve lived in Canada I’ve bought beer from my local guys, often directly from their door, despite many beers from across the country and around the world being available at the liquor store.

But these “local breweries” in the article are Molson-Coors and Labatt. The first is now American-owned and the second is the largest brewing company in Canada. I think they will be just fine.

We need to rationalize that humans like this sort of thing, and also that they shouldn’t demand it of others.

Is it laughable to demand game characters always be hot? Yes

Do people appreciate fan service characters? Also yes

Humans have been sexualizing everything forever, it’s in our nature. But we need to stop being so damn creepy about it.

Kids shouldn’t see live castrations of animals IMHO

Not without reason, but my daughter has been helping me with lambing since she was like 5 years old. Part of that is putting castrator bands on and docking tails, it hasn’t messed her up but just been a good lesson in responsibility and handling animals respectfully.

However lambs just bleat a couple times and lay down in the corner. Showing non-farm kids a bunch of squealing piglets out of nowhere is definitely going to traumatize them.

By the way a non-neutered boar sounds like a terrifying pet to me! I would hope any pet pigs are castrated for safety reasons alone.

How do secure borders and fascism have anything to do with each other? We’ve had borders, passports, visas etc. in some form since the dawn of civilization.

If you don’t secure your border, what’s the point of even having one? You can’t just let random people wander into your country undocumented… If you did, it wouldn’t be a country.

They’re probably already running at the optimum temperature. Power is their main input cost, and they’re strongly motivated to minimize it. Meanwhile the average household freezer is set to… Um… how about “7”. That sounds pretty cold to me, yeah?

You wouldn’t believe how much research has gone into studying things like the optimum way to store potatoes.

Usually. Sometimes it really does seem magical. Sometimes the circle is very well hidden. Maybe we just haven’t found it yet.

Honestly I’ve learned more math from that guy than any math teacher I ever had - one of the few YouTube channels I would absolutely recommend to anyone scientifically inclined at all. He’s an incredible explainer.

The sad thing is, the kind of peaked-in-highschool voter that voted for Trump and can be swung absolutely will care about how he smells. I can hear it now, “I’m not voting for some stinky old man” “I thought the diapers thing was a myth”

This kind of low blow absolutely will have effect if they can make it stick. A sad day for democracy? Definitely. But that’s the media environment of today.

Also it gives opponents a chance to needle dick him in debates which will cause him to fly into a rage and embarrass himself. God only knows what TMI he might rave about, his bathroom habits etc. Even tiny jabs like “do I have to be the guy to sit next to Trump” have huge rage potential.
