Amazon allows and even encourages dogs. They aren’t allowed in meeting rooms or other shared spaces like the kitchen or cafe. I bring my girl in 4 days a week. She stays tethered to my desk, but maybe I’ll get a dog gate for my whole aisle if everyone is fine with it since everyone on my team likes her.

Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•Pornhub Valentine's Day searches by US state
0·2 years agoApparently Louisiana was “smart” and allows a third party to do this for them, called AllpassTrust. Pornhub is fine with this type of verification, which is why LA is the only southern state here (GA isn’t southern enough).

0·2 years agoWhen FFXIV implemented better blocking tools this past summer, there was an option when blocking a single character to block the entire service account. This would be fine, but the implementation they went with is client side, and when you select that option, you get the service account ID. Which means that if you’re blocked by someone, you can’t made an alt character to stalk/harass them. But with third party tools, we can see this account ID. The stalker could just use a new account and find the person’s account ID that they were harassing and find any alt character they have in the game. They’re changing this soon as a third party tool popped up and is now able to do this, full source code leaked so there’s no shutting it down until the game devs change how it’s done.
This sounds super similar, but the implementation that you had to do for google is crazy.

0·2 years agoMy doctor got me off omeprazole because there’s a link between long term use (10 years+) and kidney failure. So I do prescription strength famotidine twice a day and just take tums as needed, then in the summer when I’m drinking a lot, I switch to omeprazole for a few months. It’s working pretty good so far, but I go through tums like crazy.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some tech products that you want that you can't seem to find?
0·2 years ago3:2 sounds horrible. What’s the application when most videos are 16:9?
Highly cat dependent. Our cat knows “no” so when she keeps doing something, we spray her. She still cuddles us in bed and meets us at the door.
The main thing was jumping on the coffee table. I think it also helps that our table lifts up, and we let her jump on the in between part, so she sees it as a treat.
I always skip over those vendors seeing shows. I’ll have to grab one next tome! Thanks!
Where do you get yours? All the street vendors in Capitol Hill I see don’t have jalapeños.
The Seattle dog doesn’t have jalapeños, cabbage, or siracha, and instead has grilled onions. It’s delicious.
If they’re not looked at, they don’t consume as much electricity. So there’s that difference.
If it’s cold out, I say it’s in the 30’s. Everyone knows that it’s cold by that. I don’t need an exact number. I saw the weather in the morning and didn’t want to get my phone out to say “oh it’s actually 34”. Fahrenheit is just more precise for this.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•TeamSpeak could finally be so back, since it can't stop teasing a new makeover while sneakily encouraging you to delete your Discord accountEnglish
0·2 years agoOne of my friend groups does a weird thing that I love. We use Discord for video sharing and TeamSpeak for audio while we watch stuff on a shared site. I like the disconnect because we can hop to different rooms in TeamSpeak while seeing people in discord. Sometimes people will call shots, drawing art, etc. and you’ll just see it while being in something like a “quiet convo” TS room to watch the video without drunk people talking over it. People join and you can wave to them while not having to say anything because you’re in a different room with others. It’s like a real party room kinda vibe where you can see everyone but not hear everyone and you form your little groups organically without talking over each other.
It’s niche, but I wish TS/Discord just had that natively.

0·2 years agoSame thing happened to me, but with an Overseerr frontend for my older parents (with my domain just routed to my house with nginx), with a backend of Sonarr, Radarr, Jackett, Unzipperr (not sure if this is the name but it’s vital)…

I’m sure. They had us register our dogs to make sure they’re vaccinated and in good standing. There’s probably about a dozen dogs on our floor and more in our building. It’s Seattle, so there’s more dogs than kids, and dogs are allowed inside a lot of breweries/restaurants if they’re well behaved. As I write this, I’m at a brewery with 3 dogs inside (no idea how many are outside).
