I think if you have access to Scandinavian (probably Norwegian or Danish?) articles, they tend to be pretty succinct on what happens without being too fluffy.

A lot of what is burning is mostly just weed/brush over hard soil that doesn’t get much water anyways, I don’t think it would permeate deep enough in the soil to really “salt it”.

It’s an incredibly lucrative land for minerals and such, they already had to give Denmark a slap on the wrist for screwing over the local Greenlandic population.

Never wanting to be in pictures or being outside/active for long periods of time. I will eternally look like a goblin and I don’t have the social battery to deal with long excursions of “doing stuff”. It tops out at maybe 2-4 hours depending and after that my brain basically turns to goo.

Oh and also: wearing all black. It just makes dressing myself not a hassle.

Yeah. It’s funny because I am learning Danish eight now and it makes infinitely more sense than French ever did but I think it’s because, at least to me, it’s much closer to English and a lot of it is “well we do it just cause?” and my brain is like “oh cool great! I know how to cope with that”.

Whereas learning something that is so structured like German/French it feels very overwhelming I guess in that sense. I don’t feel like I have to think about Danish because it feels very ‘normal’.

Man French was so difficult for my brain to parse. The word genders felt so silly/arbitrary that it never stuck, which is hilarious given the context of … English, but omfg did it not gel with me.
