Kinda recent change but yeah you could get updates from google play after installing an apk. It was useless for me, as most my apps that i downloaded from intermet were either modded (stripped from ads, infinite money in games, etc.) or weren’t available in play store anyway(fdroid apps, self published apps)

Looking at graduation video at the start bear was easier than IRL camera/studio/background for a starting youtuber. But problems with vtubing software killed the bear. Boils to: Not having full rights to bears likeness, new versions not adding more features for expert user, old version that wouldn’t activate on new pc and new version of software costing more $, or even worse be a monthly subscription.

Minecraft has chat moderation/reporting by default and always on in Bedrock, so unless pressed about unmoderated servers it looks good from outside. More of hassle for smaller devs, for whom the line is not clear between adding the just block/report/disable chat options or 1984 surveillance to pass it

It started with having a pretty scummy loot box monetization, with plans to bring game to f2p(br was always the f2p it does not count). All they got few slaps in 2018-2021 and removed loot boxes as a result. This is not new thing for them, they already knew what they were setting up

How the hell they would make so much money from gambling while not offering it in any first party games? Or the 12% from gacha like games is enough to fuel the entire game shop nowadays?
