the vibe coded part is is pretty unimportant. if it was just a vibe coded distro, it would be quickly forgotten by most Linux users except in memes, and the only people who would use it are the AI tech bro influencers and their vapid followers.

the real issue here is the insane amounts of money many corporations are giving someone who consistently voices racist theories on his blog.

everybody was saying Fuck Proton the other day, when really it’s Andy that needs to go. the vast majority of the employees are not obsessed with AI like he is, and aren’t abusive assholes like he is either.

the community already made a custom server that’s compatible with Bitwarden, I imagine if Bitwarden cut them off then they could make a custom client for it as well.

in fact I believe there are community made Bitwarden apps already for Linux desktops, although I never tried them because I just use the browser extension.

anyone who hasn’t used a vizio TV won’t even understand exactly how right you are. the vizio OS is borderline unusable, even when nothing is “wrong” with it. truly the dumbest “smart” TV brand to have ever been made. and they can’t even blame it on the OS being vibe coded, because their TVs have been shite long before chatgpt came around.

the nice thing about this is you can just not connect your TV to the internet. moth uses a Dell workstation pulled from the garbage bin of a corporation as a media PC. it’s far more powerful than it needs to be in order to stream media, and cost nothing because it was basically stolen (is taking things from a garbage bin legally theft?).

check you local thrift stores for old “garbage” PCs that you can bring back to life with Linux. this is far better for your privacy than using a “smart” TV.

moth also believes the Russian government does not have propaganda bot farms. this is western Fake News Media NATO propaganda, vs our glorious Soviet truth, comrade.

no lie, there’s a github project out there to hook into these chatbots to use them when vibe coding. which seems like a terrible idea, but it’s funny.

well in this case, the illegal data harvesting is probably being done by the users who are having a ton of fun hacking it
