Exactly this. We need to start investing in the Fediverse and stop depending on Reddit or any of the big techs. WE all built their content. We can do it again FREELY.
I do like Linkstack. I just thought it was abandoned. Mas pointed out that I’m VERY wrong there. It’s only been 5 months. I use it on two other sites.
I was thinking of a catching tag line instead of “just google it” I’m an uber nerd and would say “don’t search it! FEDIVERSE IT!” :-D
You can’t stop people changing their mind about deleting stuff. That can and should happen for any number of reasons, both good and bad. There are servers that would still have the information, but it feels like there’s less incentive to fully delete an account on the Fediverse as you can literally pick up the same conversation with a new account. Maybe I just don’t do enough social media use and miss the point. I deleted my stuff from Reddit, because I don’t want to help Reddit and it should be my private data. Fediverse we are all public and there is no tracking anyway. So whoever you are here, you’re it here, no where else, even with the same name.
And he’ll still be a billionaire. And he got that money by suppressing the world with proprietary software. He’s single handedly helped hold humanity back. I don’t care the good he’s done as it’s built on the back of all the harm he’s done.
This makes as much sense as Tesla’s revenue dropping by 70%, yet the stock went UP!?!
At this point it’s either insane stupidity or insane fraud. And I’m not sure which I’d prefer.

It interacts with the Fediverse in general. Peertube follows are bugged, but Peertube is working on it. It can’t really follow some Lemmy things, but van with others. Idk. :-D.
I personally enjoy GTS. I use it for two accounts. It’s still alpha, so not feature complete, but it does all the basics I’d need and I find it to be stable.
Instead of Youtube or a Youtube front end, Niccolò also posts his stuff to Peertube, for those interested:
