I’m not sure if I know all of the paid cloud features in the current version (and I don’t really want to download it). You can download unlimited maps, which made me switch back in the days.

News@lemmy.world•Judge learns lawyers on both sides of case used AI, cancels trial, kicks everyone off the case
0·25 days agoKinda? As far as I interpreted it, it was mostly aimed at the people behind AI hyping it up to “never make mistakes” and trying to silence people who point them out.

0·26 days agoI watched it. Not really a spectacular movie but an okay watch if you’re bored.
Obviously I can only speak for myself as a non-impaired person, but I am often in spaces where I cannot listen to audio even on headphones. Also a summary is nice to get a feel if I even want to spend the time watching the video later.

Cybersecurity@sh.itjust.works•How to use Auditd file access logs?English
0·6 months agoPretty much yes, unfortunately. Because the process calling your target process is obviously created before, you’d need to proactively log all executions. :/

0·6 months agoSorry, I mistakenly believed that
auditctlrecords the process tree on event generation automatically, but that’s not the case. You’ll need to add a rule that recordsexecveevents.

Cybersecurity@sh.itjust.works•How to use Auditd file access logs?English
0·6 months agoAs far as I am aware,
auditctlrecords the whole process tree of an event. You can useausearchwith--pid <pid>or--ppid <pid>to work yourself all the way up the process tree.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•What open-source Android apps should people know about?
0·7 months agoPSA: The Syncthing fork repo has very recently been taken by a new maintainer without notice from the old one. However, the new maintainer seems to be in possession of the old PGP keys, which has made a lot of community members cautious/suspicious.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Are these two rar files malware? (virustotal results)English
0·11 months agoTLDR: I can’t say for 100% sure, but there are multiple reasons to believe that this is malware.
Long version: I’m seeing multiple suspicious things here.
-
The IPs being connected to are part of some hoster and have some abuse reports: https://www.abuseipdb.com/check-block/217.20.58.98/29
-
The domain being resolved is qcloud[.]com, which belongs to Tencent Cloud and definitely not Microsoft.
-
Other domains in memory like counter-strike[.]com[.]ua are very new and definitely sound fishy.
-
A standalone version of 7zip is being run and extracts the created rar file with the password “infected”. Real alarm bells here.
-
A lot of the registry actions look like anti-debugging, which does not sound like something an Illustrator Plugin would do.

Sounds like a perfect use case for the WTFPL.
