Yeah that’s kind of what I was originally thinking to do too.

Very cool thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks for your helpful answer.
Do you do all of that on a separate log sever? Or on your firewall? I haven’t found a good way to do that on opnsense that doesn’t feel hacky.
Oh yeah that’s a good idea. Thank you.
Gadgetbridge works pretty well with them too if you want to avoid giving Garmin your data.

Weird must be my setup then, thank you!
EDIT: Looks like their DNSSEC config might be incorrect which was causing my failures.

Android@lemmy.world•The Syncthing Android drama is explodingEnglish
0·7 months agoI would recommend pausing updates or trying another solution.
You can run syncthing in termux and autostart it with termux:boot, which seems to work pretty well.
If you have the scripting skills you can also do more advanced stuff like using termux:api to run it when charging only.

7·8 months agoThat’s the last version that was released before the transfer AFAIK. Someone in the linked thread also said they didn’t see anything suspicious between 2.0.11.1 and 2.0.11.2.

2·8 months agoSyncthing in Termux apparently works to some extent. Another option might be Nextcloud? Will def try out some alternatives just in case.

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Zigbee Temp + Humidity SensorsEnglish
0·11 months agoGood to know, thank you. I think the only thing I worry about with BT is vulnerabilities. Not sure if ZigBee is any more secure but I’ve heard of a lot of BT vulns in the past. Probably doesn’t matter for a temp sensor, so probably just important for the dongle/driver being used with HA.
