Oh wow I never heard of PikaOS but of seems great, even though you had some difficulties. I love Debian and have it on my Server, Laptop and now also on my older Gaming (Nvidia) PC.

I feel like Debian really only needs a couple of (hardware specific) tweaks to be a great out of the box experience and it seems PikaOS tries to do that. I don’t like that most other desktop first distros opt into using Ubuntu as their bases. But that is only because I’m willing to invest some time to fix stuff and understand how my PC works.

Its so stupid especially as Minecraft (not sure about cod) the example they stated provides community server as a built in feature. Its always so weird to see people so blatantly lie through their teeth with their name and everything on display for companies. There are of more serious examples than videogame servers, but its also weird even on this level.

Channels on PeerTube are already Communities on here so there is no need to tag something for videos to show up as long as somebody subscribes to the channel. If you search for a specific video on your instance it should show up with comments from across the Fediverse. (e.g.: https://makertube.net/videos/watch/b82221ac-53b2-4b72-94f7-4d1ee436cce1) However you can still crosspost the videos in more specific Communites. Comments are then aggregated from different Posts on Piefed and I think Lemmy 1.0

I guess there is just nobody on your instance (piefed.zip) subscribed to the channel which is why it does not federate. On piefed.social there is the latest one available (9 days ago) as i myself am subscribed.

I do get that, im just confused about the hype surrounding it. You can maybe take a look at Ship of Harkinian and 2 Ship 2 Harkinian then! Its a decompilation of the original games running at 120 FPS with Modding support and all sorts of enhancements.

Wait, are we actually supposed to get excited about OOT? Of course I’m looking forward to see how it looks and what they did to some enemy designs. But that won’t change its core which is still OOT if I had a S2 I’d consider getting if they add a story expansion, but as it stands right now I have 0 hype for this and actually expected it to be the case for most people.

Ich meine das ich GOG nicht installiert haben muss zum Spiele laden und installieren, die Datei kriege direkt aus dem Internet. Ich glaube das geht bei Dampf nicht (Außer über die SteamCLI). Bin mir aber auch bewusst das es ein Ich-Problem ist :)

Das coole an GOG ist, dass du dir ein DRV freies Setup laden kannst, ganz ohne Starter. So mache ich das auf Linux. Bin aber auch allgemein kein Fan von Starter.
