No sure who said this… sounds like Bull Burr but … “No matter how beautiful she is, there’s some guy somewhere who’s tired of putting up with her shit”

My girlfriend told me a few times that she wishes i would give her at least half the attention i give my PC and my response is always as follows my PC does what i want, can always entertain me with something new, show me something new and shuts up when i need it to, she gives me the you son of a bitch smile and look, gives me the middle finger, calls me an asshole and goes back to watching Tiktok on her phone while watching some kind of documentary on her PC, we’ve been together for 6 years and got married last year in August, wonder how many times i’ll have to say before it sinks in or i get a smack in the face.

I think your narrow-minded preconceptions have made you unable to ask yourself one simple question “why does she stay?”, i don’t force her to stay nor does she need me financially and yet despite your disapproval she’s still with me after 6 years and i have been the same since we met, so again ask yourself “why does she stay?”.

She had a toxic family and is attracted to toxic people.

Maybe treat her better? Maybe romance is better than being a geek with his PC.

Buy her a chocolate or some shit, maybe you will find you like that more?

You’re right about the kinda toxic family, but also a very financially successful family and no i’m not in it for the money, she cut contact with her family after they didn’t approve of her last partner so she won’t be getting anything from her parents.

Oh you mean the garden that i made where she can get fresh fruits and vegetables? well not all at the moment some will need a few more years before they bear any fruit or the flower beds i made where she can have fresh flowers, don’t think you know everything you all knowing presumptuous twat!

You don’t seem like you’re very happy in your relationship. Given you got married not too long ago, I can only hope that there are good parts to your relationship that made you want to be married to this person, because what you describe in your comment doesn’t sound healthy or okay. If you want to remain married to this person, y’all should probably try to work through this shit, because it’ll fester into resentment otherwise

Honesty is actually the thing she appreciates the most and according to HER this is the best relationship she’s had for whatever reason i can’t understand AND she has ADHD so talking at length isn’t something she’s capable of, but we have fun together whether it’s insulting eachother or cuddling, we are two cogs that don’t fit in a machine that should not work but it does, not every relationship has to be perfect or fit your views in order to work.

I’m glad to hear that. It sounds like the bit at the end of your original comment was just a hyperbolic joke. I commented because I had had friends who have said things like that in a context where tensions in the relationship did end up escalating to the level of physical violence, which is never okay.

Since learning about what they went through, I try to be more proactive in pointing out potentially problematic stuff, because for both of my friends, what got them out of that situation was the cumulative effect of people saying “dude, are you okay? That is not something you should be experiencing”. Fortunately, in this case, it appears that this was me being overly cautious

I was at work so i had to read your previous comment again for it to properly get through, but in my previous relationship we didn’t properly talk and it was my parents that told me to get out because i looked pale and wasn’t acting right, they told me that my ex was killing me mentally, but i stayed because she got pregnant, so after a year of her parents dragging me through all kinds shit (“work”), i found myself one but it was about 1300 km away in another country, we broke up 10 months later and i met my current wife about a year and a half after that and we were both kinda on a rebound, took me a few years to realise that i basically ran away for “work” when the actual reason was i ran away because i was having some serious suicidal thoughts, so now if you don’t say it it doesn’t get resolved and that’s why it’s working when it shouldn’t.

Maybe u should tell her what you need from her to give her the attention that she needs from u. Its hurting just to tell her were she is behaving worse then your pc in your perspective.

If i wanted to hurt her i’d just leave, to her that is the worst thing that could happen, her exes would leave for days, weeks or months even whether it’s work, military or cheating, so if you think I’M the worst one she’s had you’d be surprised, me just being there is soothing for her, her words not mine, why? i’ll never understand.

If someone is actively engaged with something, you have to break their attention. I feel like people need to learn more about dissociation and blacksmithing.

be more interesting than medieval sword making.

no, sex isn’t the answer. probably reading a book on medieval history and telling him about it is.

it always baffles me how many women i have dated… have no interests or passions, and seem to look down on people who do.

and the women i have dated who did have passions and interests… were way way more attractive and more fun to spend time with, because they didn’t expect me to entertain them.

I married a guy who already shared my interests, which I feel is a pretty hard requirement for a working relationship.

One of those interests is history, so we will be needing that docu as well

Be interested, just a little bit, in what they’re interested in. Like, you don’t have to enjoy it, but show interest and they’ll respond a lot more than if you make that a problem they have to choose over.

I mean I might put down the doc simply because I can come back to it anytime, while the moment won’t. But what would spark things more is if she asks me something simple about what had my focus.

And this goes both ways. Paying attention to what your SO likes in any amount works so much better than making it something bad.

“I have presented my flesh in his presence and that wasn’t automatically rewarded. What am I doing wrong?”

Have you tried… talking about shared interests? Being funny? Being charming and confident? Putting effort into romance? Like all the same advice that help men gain interest from women works the other way around too, you know? We’re all human.

      have you dated recently?

social media is rife with woman-o-sphere nonsense that basically tells women all they have to do is sit there and look pretty and embrace traditional gender roles and be totally passive. everyone freaks out abotu the manosphere, but the womanosphere is just as toxic… but you can’t acknowledge how toxic it is it or you ‘hate women’. because apparently if men are sexist douchebags, that’s horrible, but if women are, it’s their them expressing their freedom, or something.

there has been a big shift in the past 5 years towards this stuff. I have noticed it a lot in dating, most women I meet now are incredibly passive and convinced that everything in the relationship is the man’s responsibility.
