Earlier, the US paper doubled down on report highlighting testimonies of Palestinians raped in Israeli detention

Israel is preparing legal action against The New York Times after the newspaper published an article describing the rapes of Palestinian prisoners in its custody.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced its decision to sue on X on Thursday, after the paper doubled down in its defence of the report.

“Nicholas Kristof’s deeply reported piece of opinion journalism starts with a proposition to readers: ‘Whatever our views of the Middle East conflict, we should be able to unite in condemning rape,'” a spokesperson for The New York Times said.

Kristof’s story contained harrowing testimonies of the rape of Palestinians by Israeli soldiers, which included accounts of prisoners being mounted by dogs, penetrated by carrots, and rectums torn by batons.

            Zionism is not grounded on Nationalism, it’s grounded on Ethnic Supremacy.

            This is why it’s far more calously violent towards those they see as being from lesser races (openly called “vermin” by some Zionists).

            Traditional Fascism, like in Italy or Spain, is grounded on Nationalism so is way less likely to do things like activelly target and murder children like Israel did in Gaza (were, for example, they had snipers killing children playing at home).

            If you want a present day example of this kind of thing “just” anchored on rabid nationalism, look at Russia - murderous, but they generally don’t go around mass murdering Ukranian civilians, much less calously murdering Ukranian children. For all the shit Russia does, they’re not actually trying to wipe out a people, they’re trying to conquer it.

            Zionism is in a different class of ideology: the same as NAZIsm.

            (Israel itself is openly an ethnic supremacist country, with its Constitution explicitly saying that Jews and only Jews can be Israeli Nationals, so non-Jews born in Israel if they do manage to get it - as it’s not an inherent right for those born there - can get Israeli Non-Jewish Citizenship, which is not the same as Nationality in Israel and does not grant the same rights. Maybe your confusion comes from there - Zionist is not about the Nation, it’s all about the Race, and as it just so happens the nation of Israel is also all about the very same race)

      Israel is trying to figure out what victims snitched so they can kill them and their families. They’re not stupid enough to think they could win money, they just want discovery so they can teach those Palestinians a lesson for speaking to the media.

      I mean, there are literally videos of these Nazis raping a prisoner, they went to trial, the that genocidal state let them off without any punishment. After they returned home to parades and a heros welcome. There were actual terrorist raping a prisoner caught on video - then hailed as heros. Really disgusting scums I can’t understand why they even sue. For what? Everyone knows your terrorist forces will rape people. You can go watch the video right now. Wild.

    The claims about dogs seem quite implausible and call into questions the reliability of the rest of the the article, but I’m not sure how Israel actually plans to go from that to reaching the rather high threshold for providing libel in the USA.

        I don’t think it’s something dogs are physiologically capable of doing, and even if it were, I think it’s unlikely that dogs would be trained to do it on command.

            Probably best to give a content warning on that one, at least two of the investigators working on that case killed themselves over how fucked up it was. Really recommend giving it a miss.

            Another victim, Angelica Montano, came forward with a similar story to that of Vigil. She said she had been held captive by Ray after Hendy invited her to the house to pick up a cake mix.

            … Montano convinced the pair to release her along the highway. She was picked up by an off-duty law enforcement officer and told him what happened, but he did not believe her and left her at a bus stop. She also later called the police about the incident, but there had been no follow-up.

            Yep, sounds about right.

          Sorry to darken your world a little but rape and forced pregnancy are just things we do as a species. From pigs to horses, to enslaved people. We’ve been force breeding domesticated animals for longer than we’ve have had civilization. Yes we know how to make them hard and they and can be trained them to rape each other on command. That’s how puppy mills work. All you have to do is force a human being to be in the place of a female animal being impregnated.
