Some of the anatomy of the fall doesn’t make sense. Where did their wings go?

I presume they usually go like Batman and let themselves fall to quietly glide through the air until they can pounce from above the prey. Only here there wasn’t enough space for airtime to spread their wings.

Ah, ok, now I see it. At the end the owl has no wings, instead the model plastered the front plumage onto its backside - because it doesn’t “know” how the owl looks from that perspective.

It’s clear after you point it out, but these are no longer obvious at first glance…

Indeed. The left wing just vanishes during the fall and is nowhere to be seen as the owl stumbles to its feet.

I hate that we have to pay attention to signs of AI generation instead of being able to enjoy owl content.

The background doesn’t make sense. Stair rail into the wall and then a door appears under it?

I have to say this was tricky to see, when you look closer and stop several times, it’s clear, when the door appears out of nowhere. Also when you look closer the feathers are kinda off, it’s quite seeable, when AI tries to mimic bad video quality in order to hide, some things it can’t do well

First thing that was off for me was the behavior of the owl, it’s not like the owl sit’s there in shame, it’s more like “the skript of the prompt ended” type

Also the carpet moves even when the camera is still, and the feathers are weird when it lands, on the right side

If you find an injured owl:

Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.

Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.

Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.

If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

For more detailed help, see the OwlPages Rescue page.
