0·6 days agoNothing yet because I don’t decide easily, but I’m having an eye on Dragon ball XenoVerse 2, the SPAZ collection, Dungeon Siege collection and A House of many Doors.
I was also eyeing the EA 90+% discounts, but they’re EA and their apps/anticheat are a nightmare to deal with and i don’t think it’s worth the trouble.

0·13 days agoYou can, with some. The launcher has an offline mode and a lot of the binaries within the install location can be run without the -epicportal requirement, but I’m unsure if you can also play them without keeping the launcher installed. Depends on the game, I guess.

science@lemmy.world•Tech titans are hacking their bodies for a longer life: is there science behind their methods?English
6·15 days agoPower comes when people know they have it and with power comes responsibility to wield it.
And without education, people either don’t know they have it or don’t know how to use it.

science@lemmy.world•Tech titans are hacking their bodies for a longer life: is there science behind their methods?English
9·15 days agoAnd yet, we pretty much are. Early onset propaganda works. “The government is your friend. The government works for the people. If the government says so, then it must be true.”
If the government hasn’t banned something, then it must be safe/good to use. If the government makes laws to “save the children”, you damn well better believe it!
Children have to be educated in order for them to be inquisitive despite the fear of the unknown. And education is intentionally being neutered, so there is a distinct lack of coherent resistance to exploitative tactics. So without knowing for themselves what’s what, all they can do is follow the popular trends.

science@lemmy.world•Tech titans are hacking their bodies for a longer life: is there science behind their methods?English
21·15 days agoYeah, the science of wishful thinking.
There’s no doubt we can extend life expectancy, just like we can maintain a toxicity free environment.
And yet, here we are today where the rich fucks looking to live longer are killing themselves in the process.
I presume they usually go like Batman and let themselves fall to quietly glide through the air until they can pounce from above the prey. Only here there wasn’t enough space for airtime to spread their wings.
