Yes, the upper left half is “done”.

You need to introduce your partner to spoons.
Are all the spoons dirty or something?
Also, are they eating avocado with butter?I eat almond puree with butter. It’s tastier and you also eat a sugar topping (jam) with butter.
The notable difference with jam would be that avocado is already oily.
I think scooping it out with a butter knife might be a cultural thing, especially when the avocado is not super ripe.
And the butter was probably for a different sandwich.
Microwave it for like 15 seconds before scooping/scraping if its underripe
Next cultural thing: we don’t have a microwave.
Huh. That’s oldschool. 😄
There’s a better way to use a butter knife, which is to slice a grid into the half avocado, after which you can use a spoon or your fingers to pop the cubes off into a bowl. Then you can put those in a bag in the freezer to have ripe avocado anytime.
The ragebait equivalent for someone taking a way uneven slice of pie or cake.
Is your partner a raccoon?
There’s certainly commonalities, yes.
Ahhh… mine is the same way. I’d never seen bread opened from the side before we got together…
Sacrilege
Unless a hoagie roll and you’re making a hoagie or cheesesteak.
Slices of bread that are see through on one end and could support a multi storey building on the other.
Wtf, that’s so wasteful
No. They have a partner who will eat literal trash to avoid food waste, and they know it.
So you’re both raccoons?
See, they’re just being nice and leaving you a little snack.
Your partner is clearly a psychopath!
My lawyers are advising me not to comment.
your partner is a mouse?
Avocado is amazing it is the only fruit that comes with its own serving bowl
Are passionfruit and kiwi a joke to you?
Kiwi with the edible bowl.
Does your partner hate doing dishes? Because I’ve done similar things to avoid using a plate.
Dude at least they attempted to scoop it out. My better half cuts it in half and SQUEEZES it out because she’s decided it’s better/easier than cutting it out properly. Now I walk into the kitchen and find the mutilated remains of our avocados.
It takes literally 1 second to do with a spoon.
But I’ve learned not to have those arguments with my wife.
I’ve started squeezing it out more often. saves me having to clean a spoon and if it’s the right firmness, doesn’t really leave anything behind.
what I’m saying is that your partner has a skill issue.
now, there is a trick to it - slice the flesh first. don’t just grab a half and start squeezing - you have to give it structure that wants to easily slip out. do a grid pattern and the pillars just pop right out. this is, in my experience, the least effort method to get avocado into a nice guac situation. slice and dice, squeeze into bowl, mash with fork. minimum number of utensils.
The way my
partnerpet ostrich eats avocado.I had a coworker who came in one day and said he made guacamole and had never bought an avocado before - he said he boiled the avocado. He got it and it was hard, so he figured like a potato you cook them so they get soft. Apparently it worked and he made the guacamole, and was shocked when we told him no, you just wait and they get soft enough.
Such wastage.
It’s so easy to slice around the pit to split in half and then crush out the flesh. No left behind bits. It comes out as a few lumps and then paste.
What if you’re just eating some avocado?
Is your partner a prehistoric giant ground sloth by chance?
That would explain some things.
