The call screening feature has put a stop to this for me since iOS 26. It plagued me for years prior to that.
Oh I have that. But I still get notifications about it.
I think you can turn those off

I just had an AI spam call. “Member services” for credit card debt. If you decide to fuck with the clanker, be sure to keep your debt below $150k. They wouldn’t help me with my $500k Lamborghini loan.
Answer the call, immediately mute it, let them hang up on a dead line. Does help after a week or two.
For texts, reply with original goatse pics, the love those.
Good tip, I always just looked up dial-up sounds and played those. The robot calls will flag you as computer and leave you alone
