One more reason to support term limits for Congress.

Yes, we’d lose a few of the “good ones”, but it would keep corrupt fucks like Chuck from staying in power too long. The net positives would far outweigh the net negatives.

The problem isn’t that he’s 75, the problem is he’s been in office almost 30 years. He’s corrupt and he has the support of a corrupt machine.

So, are you going to do everything possible to depose him? Or will you keep throwing a tantrum, refuse to vote, and let the regressives steamroll more?

I genuinely think things will devolve to the point that Americans using political violence against the establishment democrats is the only path forward. It’s fucked up. But I feel like it’s the only way America doesn’t devolve into a nation ending civil war. Actually. Cuz looking from the outside I don’t see the outcomes of any of your elections moving the needle anymore.

Voting out republicans doesn’t solve the problem of establishment democrats preventing newly elected democrats from fixing anything.

edit: Hopefully I’m wrong. But this is what I believe will happen.

Dem Centrist leaders will cheer you on, then knife you in the back when you’re fighting, then when you have finally got the republicans vlying anquished on the floor, the dems will lift them back up and forgive everything they did. Centrists are as much your enemy as your friend. Its literally in their name, “centrist”.

Which is exactly my point fyi. If establishment democrats continue to undermine the democratic will of their voters than inevitably their voters will turn to extra-democratic solutions.

Call it what you will. Says more about you than it does me.

Americans don’t get to gripe non-Americans wishing acceleration on them. Full stop.

I don’t know that violence is entirely necessary, but working toward the DSA becoming its own thing and letting the Establishment Dems crash in to the hard reality that nobody supported them in the first place, they just disapproved of them less than the absolute mayhem on the right should probably happen.

Yeah, I dont think reforming the Dems is possible anymore. I had hopes but it increasingly just seems like me huffing hopium. Dems wont charge your family for the bullet for your execution, but they will still pull the trigger when their klpetocrat rulers tell them to-- same as the GOP. Some would say that lesser evil is the best we can hope for, I think we should all disagree and have a real government.

Upvoted; but please understand, I’m not describing what I want to happen. I’m applying my weapons grade autistic pattern recognition to my background in attending and paying attention to history classes.

The Republicans and Democrats are the sword and shield of the wealthy elites respectively.

I agree with you, it’s not necessary. But I’m warning you that it’s inevitable. Those are not mutually exclusive!

Obviously not everyone is going to agree with me on this. Hopefully I’m wrong.

I don’t think anyone should rule it out, I just don’t think the death blow to the elites is going to come from partisan politics anyway. I think we’re past the tipping point where the system as built can be salvaged.

That’s beyond the scope of what I’m saying. I only mentioned wealthy elites to illustrate the role establishment dems play in subverting progress.

MMW USA will either play an integral role in the global working class uprising, or no longer exist in it’s current form by that time.

The only way the dsa will ever have any actual power is if they tea party the democratic party. Remaining a third party will in most districts in the US just make them a spoiler that gets republicans elected.

This is the answer. If people want change, they need to get active and primary democrats with the candidates they want.

Wishcasting some kind of third party into existence is naive and the outcome is we get more Republicans in power and life gets remarkably shittier as a consequence.

If we somehow get ranked choice voting, it’d be different. But right now there is only 2 viable choices in the general. Do what you can for the primary and hopefully you feel better about voting in the general. Sitting out or voting third party is just helping conservatives and their agenda being waged on America.

I think they were saying that it will take both. So it’s a bit of a both sides argument, but really it’s an accelerationist or total collapse argument if you really follow through on those actions.

Anyone that doesn’t actively advocate voting for the most progressive candidate in every primary and then preventing republicans from gaining power at any cost in the general is an accelerationist.

    On the other hand (arc),

In a written statement later on Monday, Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said U.S. President Donald Trump had targeted Omar — a Minnesota congresswoman and the first Somali-American lawmaker in Congress — with “vile personal attacks” for years.

“Now, less than 30 days until the midterm election, his violent mass deportation machine has descended upon the home of a duly elected Member of Congress and her family,” reads the statement.

It was also signed by House minority whip Rep. Katherine Clark and Rep. Pete Aguilar, chair of the House Democratic Caucus.

“The American people deserve transparency, and we will deliver full accountability for the rogue abuse of power from the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice,” they said.

Maybe he has the same minor condition like Mitch McConnell. Must be awesome to have all these ‘experienced’ people still in congress without any term limits. Surely does not stand in the way of progress because they fully comprehend the modern world.

Trump is doing him a favor if he success with this. Those pesky leftists keep making his political life harder by calling him our good his ineptitude. He could just sit back even further doing jack shit. Hell, he probably wouldn’t even need to mumble about ‘strongly-worded letters’ if she and others on that end of the party were gone.

Who will win at being the worst old guy alive? That’s the problem with people after 70… Very unreliable at staying awake permanently. But they got a good 10 years before 80 and 20 to being 90 or dust.

God bless their dusky clunky hearts for all the bad things they have done and will still do.
