East Germany was denazified to a much higher degree than west Germany. Half of the fucking embassies of West Germany were run by Nazis, and some NATO generals literally took part in the SS. Soviets lost 25 million lives to Nazism, they were much, much more stringent with Nazism than western Europe.
Germany was never fully denazified. There’s a reason the New Left in Germany was so militant. Kiesinger was in the Nazi Party!
