I would like to get off the ride, now, please.

thumbnail of The Brutalist (4 hrs long) okay perhaps not the best example

We just got 2.5 feet here in Boston, and I was able to buy beer by 3pm

“Doing these things that everyone already agrees are healthy could make you healthier!” The biggest non-story I have ever read. No shit I need to eat healthy food, exercise and get enough sleep. No fucking shit.

Sponsorblock, too. It comes included in ReVanced these days, and even comes with SmartTube, an excellent ad-blocking YT app for android TVs. I am convinced that if I see another ad on YT, I will wither and die. Not today…

Plasma is everything I used to wish Windows’ desktop could be, but isn’t because of… honestly I have no idea what they’re thinking over there. I am so glad I dumped that trainwreck. Love everything KDE <3

You gotta be careful, because if you don’t go far back enough, you’ll end up lobotomized in some kind of haunted house. Go too far back and, especially as a woman, you’ll be labeled “hysterical” or worse then exiled or killed. You gotta find that sweet spot when you could walk into Wild West CVS and take home a bottle Morphinecocainemeth to help wash down the Bovril.

The first time I boot up the game, immediately show me the settings menu. Whether its window settings, sound volume, subtitles, or graphics settings, please do not make me sit through a long cutscene or (god forbid) make me play the game without being able to adjust settings first. Sometimes the window is screwed up, the graphics are pushing my system too hard, or any number of other issues on first boot.

I can think of 1 or 2 games that booted to settings or booted to a truncated settings menu with common settings, but I would love if this became standard for all PC games.

It’ll just make idiots even more identifiable

extortionist wunk (he took all my money)

MPV is also high-quality software, tends to handle streams much better than VLC for me. It’s amazing the amount of FOSS software that has been painstakingly maintained for years, that we mostly take for granted.

If this refers to dedication and slow, steady, personal growth, great. But it reads as “all of your trauma will be worth it eventually”, which… ugh. Trauma is not “worth it”, it is survived. r/thanksimcured material
