Privacy@lemmy.ml•Signal is not the place for top secret communications, but it might be the right choice for you – a cybersecurity expert on what to look for in a secure messaging app
0·2 years agoAll I’ll say is Threema. You pay once for a licence, so there’s less bullshit people on it and they are based in Switzerland with it’s privacy laws.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Zorin OS 17.3 - A Great Linux For General Computing
0·2 years agoI tried Zorin, even paid for the pro version, which is simply a distro with added bloat, repackaged from free software to sometimes look like their own. I was impressed by the clean stock look, but it’s pretty limited in terms of customisation. Just go to Linux Mint. Much bigger community and therefore support and let’s you customise it a lot more. It’s also lighter imo and more stable, although stable is always subjective.

Using Librewolf on desktop and Ironwolf (a continuation of Mull) for Android
Librewolf is pretty much standard hardened Firefox. So you should feel right at home with that one
Switched to Librewolf on Linux and Ironwolf on Android. But looking forward to Ladybird!
I’m really hoping the new ladybird browser is delivered sooner than expected

Formula 1@lemmy.world•Fernando Alonso: Adrian Newey ‘impact’ at Aston to be greater than Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari
0·2 years agoOh definitely. Especially in combo with Alonso. Hamilton going to Ferrari mostly looks like a PR stunt to bring in some cash for both sides.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•GrapheneOS vs LineageOS vs CalyxOs vs DivestOs vs /e/OS
0·2 years agoI thought CopperheadOS was just the former name for GrapheneOS? At least that’s how I understood the statement on their page.
That is the first time i’ve heard that. Not sure about it, but sounds like it could be true. Interesting nonetheless.
15 replies is, ironic.
