Suggested my wife to get mini pc with 32gb of ddr5 ram. If she would sell half of it today, she’d be reclaiming 60% of what she paid for that minipc.

Originally I suggested her to get 64gb one so I could swap mine 32 with hers. She ultimately decided to not to. Could’ve been like 80% if she’d sell 32gb today. Crazy…

I believe they have fixed it but it was way too many times I had to click Update and shutdown and it would update and restart. Both home and work.

Where I am from, civilian fireworks are pretty much happening only during NYE. It is roughly 2 hours. The rest of the year fireworks are pretty much happening on some special shows or celebrations. You almost never hear fireworks the rest of the year.

Where I live now people like to shoot fireworks at random. I used to live near private small garden area and fireworks would fire on weekly basis all year long. It is even forbidden to do it at random, but that is not stopping people for some reason.

Wanted to add also that in my homeland fireworks are sold typically in hunting shops and I guess are strictly regulated while at the country I am at right now you can buy loads if fireworks in a grocery store if some sort of a festive celebration is around the corner.

I own Minisforum HX99g and it can be compared to SM and only costed me 800 eur 2 years ago. 6900hx and 6650m with 32gb ddr5.Today refurbished can go around 600eur.

Fast forward to 2024, turns out my wife never watched it. We did binge and both of us couldn’t stop. Even if I had seen it, I was on the edge of sofa.

It did answer all the questions. My guess is that the “unanswered questions” was due to how much time has happened between airing of seasons and episodes so watchers had forgot a lot of information. Binging solves this.

If you say you utilize 90% of ram, then just get more ram. Maybe find the best CPU you can put in your socket even if it is used. 2080ti should keep you afloat for the next 5 years. You’d save quite a fortune by upgrading your hardware just ever so slightly.

But, again, unless you really need 5090ti and Threadripper with 192GB of DDR5 ram, go for it.

In January this year I got 12TB WD hdd off manufacturer site for 230 (25% discount off an official price of 330 or so). Today it is 560 and 25% discount would end up being higher than the cost of that HDD pre-AI bullshit. Thanks, ChatGPT…

It is just impossible to get anything near this specs at this size with this price. And it hasn’t been like this for a long time. Speaking as an owner of HX99g.

There are minis that are more powerful than Steam Machine, but they would start at $1200-$1500 and go as high as $2500. These machines wont run everything 4k@60 but due to how Valve manages their hardware, Steam Machine very likely will for a while.

As an example, there are better gaming handhelds on the market judging by specs. They do be running games at better settings and fps. But Steam Deck is still is at the top of the list for its price and is still a benchmark in how it should be done.

It could or should have been around 700-800. We must be thankful AI companies that it is how it is now.

I love custom notification sounds. My ringtone and message sound is made by me. It started back in 2005 and stayed til around 2021. Now my phone is on silent. Most apps have notifications disabled manually. I got a smartwatch and only let it show notifications that I actually care about. Phone stays in DND forever.

I just cant understand how people live with notifs on for everything. Fake notifs from insta, fake notifs from whatsapp, fake notifs from email apps, youtube, any other app. By fake notifs I mean these notifications that are designed to prompt you to open an app. Suggestions, changes, invites, reminders. Fuck all of that. I want them to be useful, not trash stream of crap attention grabbers.
