Has your ability to procreate or the survival of your offspring ever been threatened by burning the roof of your mouth?
There is your answer.

That’s not how unions work. You as one person don’t join a union. You unionize your workplace. Is it hard? Yes. But whining is pointless.

However it does have a definition in whatever context you’re looking at and is very real, so I can’t really agree with your whole comment.
So do Chuck-E-Cheese’s tokens.
How about self-described sissies and crossdressers?
Isn’t a crossdresser just an antiquated term for a femboy? Those seem to describe the exact same phenomenon - a person who adopts the clothing and other social aspects of the opposite gender without identifying as that gender.
The term crossdresser has fallen out favor, as it’s long held negative connotations. But definitionally, I think a crossdresser and a femboy are the exact same thing.
The trans community has a history of reinventing terms. A lot of the same divisions that exist in the community now existed 20 years ago. The words have just changed. My mapping of new to old terms:
Transsexual -> transsex at best, transmed/truscum at worst
Crossdresser -> femboy
Genderqueer -> various flavors of nonbinary
Transvestite experience -> gender euphoria
Sissy fantasy/scenario -> boy removal fantasy/scenario
A lot of these terms have negative connotations. And we’ve replaced them with more neutral terms. But people are people; we’re still describing the same phenomena. The trans community exists on the euphemism treadmill. We invent terms, those terms gain a negative connotation, so we invent new terms. Those develop a negative connotation. We’re always in a never-ending race away from what was the polite and respectable rhetoric of a decade or two in the past.

Step one: gather your ingredients.
Step two: shove them firmly up your own backside.

It’s physics. Any vehicle capable of comfortable acceleration within the allowed speed zone will also be capable of greatly exceeding the speed limit. If you built a car that could only go 65, it would take forever to climb up to that speed, and it would be redlining the engine to maintain that speed. Any vehicle capable of efficiently and comfortably traveling at the speed limit will be capable of greatly exceeding it. Unless a governor is installed, of course.

In the winter months it’s humid. In the summer the Willamette Valley isn’t very humid. Currently it’s 46% humidity as I type this.

<Laughs in Willamette Valley.>

He’s correct. The Israelis have worked for decades to ensure that an independent Palestinian state is not a possibility. And they have accomplished that goal.
People outside Israel really need to let go of the fantasy of the two state solution. Trying to make a unified nation out of the handful of ethnic enclaves the Palestinians occupy would be like trying to make one viable independent nation out of all the US’s Indian reservations. That will never be possible, and the reason is that it was deliberately designed to make it impossible.
The two state solution is thoroughly dead and buried. There are only three futures for Palestinians at this point:
Slavery (Apartheid.)
Ethnic cleansing/genocide.
South Africa-style national reconciliation.
The rest of the world needs to move on from the two state solution. We should be demanding complete and equal Israeli citizenship for every Palestinian.
100 years from now, there will only be one nation in Palestine. Maybe that will be called “Israel.” Maybe it will be renamed something else as a reunified state. But there will not be a Palestinian-only state. It’s time to let go of that dream. At this point, seriously discussing the two-state solution just enables Zionism.

Only if you confuse security with income.
People have kids when they can reasonably assume that their kids will have the same level of lifestyle they do. People judge wealth relatively. They feel ready to have children when they can provide their children with a similar level of resources and opportunities they had. What barometer do people have other than their own childhood?
That’s not hard to guarantee as a subsistence farmer, as long as they own or otherwise have secure rights to the land. It’s a secure but impoverished existence. Sure you’re not immune from the weather, but that’s true for both parents and children. “Let’s have kids. Sure we don’t live in a big fancy city, but if it’s good enough for us, at worst it can be good enough for them.”
Compare that to wealthy people in developed countries. If you’re a middle class person now and want your kids to have the same lifestyle you do, better be prepared to help them with the down payment on a house.

Your ignorance of your own religion is astounding.

Sorry, I know good from evil. I know two adults loving each other is not evil. Any human who believes consensual love is wrong is a monster. And I expect God to be better than humans. Take that “sin of pride” crap and shove it. I know right from wrong. After all, that was the whole point of the fruit.
And when God comes here and personally tells me his morals, you have a point. But all you have is a book written by people you don’t understand, in an era completely alien to your own, written for purposes you can’t comprehend, that’s been retranslated and copied a thousand times over. If there was ever divine knowledge there, it’s been corrupted by centuries of bigots writing their own biases into scripture.
Sorry, you worship an evil version of Christianity. Your God is a demon.

Yes, there are two independent and mutually contradictory creation stories in the Bible. Biblical literalists (dumbasses) pretend that they’re the same story. But the early Bible is a collection of mythology and it shows. The two stories have different writing styles and were written by different authors. But dumbasses pretend they’re the same simply because they’re published in the same collection of short stories.

I reject any religion that tells me that good people, acting out of love, without hurting anyone is sinful. Sorry, that’s the definition of a demonic ideology. I don’t care at all what any book say. My first litmus test for any religion is whether it wants me to believe in evil.
The Bible couldn’t even get slavery right. It’s useless as a source of virtue on anything.

The Bible does not make predictions about light being able to form matter. In genesis, God creates light and dark, but no where does it say that everything else is created from light. In fact, the Bible gives two completely different and contradictory narratives for the creation of the world.

I’m sorry, but I find self-hating queer Christians to be comically ridiculous.
Here’s my theological process:
If there is a god, he/she/it clearly makes queer/gay/trans people. Folks are clearly born with these traits.
God made queer/trans people because God wants there to be queer/trans people.
Any interpretation of scripture that concludes being queer is a sin is false by default. I refuse to believe in a creator that would create people hard wired a certain way, and then in turn punish them for acting the very way he made them. That’s not the work of a benevolent God. That’s the work of a psychopath. Really, that’s the work of the Devil.
If you believe being queer is a sin, you’re worshiping an evil god. You may as well be praying to Satan.
Being queer isn’t a sin. Any scriptural justifications for this are false. It’s no different than if someone came to me and told me that they had a Biblical interpretation that said killing children was OK. (I’m talking actual children, not fetuses.) If someone tells me they have some convoluted Biblical analysis that makes killing children OK, I’m not even going to humor such an argument. I refuse to believe in a deity that would condone murdering children. I refuse to believe in a god that would make people a certain way, and then harshly punish them just for acting the very way he made them to be.
Being queer isn’t a sin. If you think it is, you’re worshiping the Devil.
Levelized cost of energy. It considers the full lifetime cost. And LCOE of solar is less than half that of fission.
