Thanks for reaching back! Definitely a hefty price tag to it, but no bs with the labels and just a webpage for config sounds pretty good. Does it require internet access?

A little late to the party, but I found your comment while also on the hunt for a label printer. Could you tell me what printer you choose?
You will never need anything above 400. 320 is plenty
IR transmitters
Are you into that? I recently started fighting with my stupid ceiling fans and their IR remotes. Would like to get them into HomeAssistant, but are IR transmitters any good across rooms? Or would you have a transmitters right by the receiver and the transmitter speaks some other language for longer distance communication?
I tried tape only, locating it above one and the same hole on my drill press. But the idea of tightly clamping on a piece of wood came afterwards as well. Will definitely try this - should I ever decide to make another one.
Close I would say. Never played pickleball so I can’t point out the exact differences, but this is for ‘Speckbrett’. There is no proper english term (baconboard would be the literal translation I guess lol) and it is very local to the Münsterland - an area in Germany. It is like a cheap tennis I would say - the weird rackets originated from cutting boards. And you play with a tennis ball, not a plastic ball.
What are your use cases for an app like this? Not trying to hate or anything - I just never used timeline and don’t really get what it is doing for you?
Looks very cool in any case!
I didn’t even research into frames, but might if I like the feature on the TV.
Just to be clear, I don’t run it all day just to look at photos. Rather I have it show the photos on startup in the few minutes that I might take to select something to watch.
Yeah I am. But I was not sure about dimensions and many other things. The wood was free and it’s a lot easier to modify for me. And in case it hadn’t worked out, I feel a lot better trashing this than a plastic shed.
Looks interesting, thanks for the link!
I don’t want to install it, so when I accidentally close the browser tab, it’s just silence for me. Really started to embrace the focus time I get from that.

My most recent project requires me to use teams again -.-
It finds new ways to loose my peripheral devices ever day and adds effects to my camera that are not even available in the menu. I’m wondering if they try to get you to install it, or hate Mac users or Firefox or whatever. I mean it has been bad for all the time I knew it, but it seems to be getting even worse.

Thx for the input, appreciate it! Do you have some references to work with here? I can’t quite work out what you mean by vents - like something that leads directly outside? (this might be a language issue on my side, sorry) I never expected this to be on the level of an industrial unit, but my unit looks hardly worse than those cheap extractors you can find online (which of course does not mean that either is great). And I can’t quite justify spending multiple hundred euros on an industrial unit (even with health in mind)

I have a Mac for work (dev shit) and used to love it. Still prefer it over Windows, but what really bugs me: All the preinstalled shit you can’t get rid of makes it do weird default behavior way too often. And the screens man. Trying to use multiple monitors on a dock makes me hate my life a little every day. It’s an absolute shitshow
It’s always fun to push these mentally challenging tasks through the week, because there is no straight 2h to focus

Thx for making this post and pointing me towards CoMaps! I installed OsmAnd during my own little move away from big Corps last year, but ended up with the same issues. Just installed CoMaps and within a minute I already like it more!

With the intention of getting into 3D printing myself, I spend quite some time researching printers. Prusa checks many of my requirements and I love their approach. But the printers really seem a lot more pricey in comparison to what the competition has to offer. I get where that comes from and I’m likely to get a Prusa in the end just because of principles. But this is someone you have to consider I guess.
Oh that helps plenty! I think everything and more was answered :) Thanks for taking your time!
