I disagree. Those that voted for him are the worst Americans in history.

Voting for a paedophile says more about the voter than it does about the paedophile.

The respirators killed more people than the Rona. Rona isn’t out there killing many people. I am amazed anyone would still be pushing that narrative.

This is goddamned bullshit and you’re despicable to suggest it. The SHORTAGE of respirators definitely cost lives, particularly as hospitals became overwhelmed. And if you think that was “fake”, fuck you. Fuck you straight to hell. Some of us lived it.

I didn’t say they killed people writ large. But the success rate of people coming off of regulators is sketch. Granted there are a lot of circumstance to that. In the same vein you can’t say they saved a bunch of people.

Historians estimate that Jackson caused the death of 10,000 to 15,000 native Americans.

It’s projected that Trump’s defunding of USAID will kill around 14 million by 2030. 4.5 million of those will be children under the age of 5 (See Lancet study.) Throw in his health care roll backs, social services withdrawals, suicides from tariffs, etc. and that figure goes a lot higher.

I voted for the slob 3 times. He officially crossed the line this time. About 40 times. Fuck this guy, man. So much for “no more wars”… and quite literally every single other thing he promised. I’m used to that with presidents, but dang, man. He REALLY fumbled every ball, and he’s having them launched at him.

I have had this thought the last few years. I have had 3 chances to vote for Trump. What would it have been like to vote for him once? I mean, once would have had to have felt good right?

But I’ve missed my chances. Wonder who we will get to vote for next

Can you explain what made you vote for him 3 times? Because that’s something I honestly don’t understand.

The first time I can understand. It was already known how corrupt he was, but most of the media ignored it and I can understand how you didn’t know. But surely after his first term, it must have been pretty clear what a terrible person he was? How corrupt he was?

Many members of his own cabinet, people who believed and supported him, spoke out against him. Mattis, McMaster, Tillerson, Pence, Bolton, Kelly and tons of others pointed out his incompetence, his corruption and his extremism.

I can forgive voting for him once, because you didn’t know. But 3 times!? How does that happen?

You now say, well whoops I guess, and expect “them” to welcome you with open arms? Nah, fuck every single last one of you fascist fucks, going to take some serious accountability measures before any of you are welcomed back into the what little remains of the civil society you helped torch.

I just don’t understand how any person could vote for him more than once. It wasn’t a secret that he is totally incompetent, spiteful and extremely stupid after just a couple days of him being in charge the first time. His first term was a clown show where he continuously fired his staff. If you somehow think he’s going too far only now, then frankly it says a lot about you and your lack of sense, empathy and political literacy.

His values have constantly shown that he is sexist, racist, greedy, slovenly and generally hateful. If you have voted for him three times, frankly, you probably are those things as well.

Also I kind of wish I would have voted the second time and that he would have won the first second time. So we would have only had 8 years of Trump instead of the +12 we are going to get.

I honestly wonder in what way you think the Democrats are worse than the Republicans. Even before Trump turned the Republicans into a clown show, it was the party of greed, selfishness and corruption. Bush lied to start a war with Iraq. Reagan destroyed the middle-class because rich people needed to get richer. They’ve supported wars for oil, lies about the environment, sinking people deeper into debt.

I completely agree that the Democrats are not always great, but at their worst, they’re almost as bad as the Republicans. Never worse. Everything bad they’ve done, the Republicans have done worse.

I personally do not like this country being absolutely flooded with illegal immigrants and all of our jobs being swooped up by underpaid H1Bs, etc. My area with the largest industrial park in the whole country is a total nightmare now. I don’t really care if you feel a moral obligation to think the opposite, so don’t bother. I will be avoiding this sub now. It’s just as violently retarded as Reddit’s r/politics. Got it blocked now. Buchanan barely makes the top 10 worst list. Jackson and Wilson did far more damage to the country directly. Heck most of Buchanan’s presidency was just cleaning up the infighting of Jackson’s cabinet. Top 5 worst? Three way tie between Jackson, Wilson, and Trump for first. Polk and either Nixon or Reagan round out the top 5.

Humans are social creatures. Facts don’t matter. Emotions and social belonging matter. So people who are just immersed in trump-stuff are going to think it’s all normal and good, and reject contrary facts from the out group.

This is part of why right wing media is so dangerous. It feeds the in-group solidarity

For sure. He was a joke long before he ever got into politics. Only now he’s not funny anymore. What I can’t figure out is whether they genuinely believe he’s a good president, or the trolling level has gotten so good that we can’t even tell. Makes no material difference, but just thinking about it goves me a headache.

They’re annoyed that people experience empathy and curiosity.

        They don’t.

They just want to be ignorant bigots without challenge or second thought.

They’re tired of living with people who are genuinely BETTER HUMAN BEINGS than them.

It makes them feel weak and stupid and pathetic.

Don’t hide. Be loud. Remind them. Don’t let them get a moment of respite from the crushing weight of ideas that come from people who actually give a shit.

In a nutshell: Republicans are taking taxpayers’ money. Indirectly, but that’s what’s happening. GOP gov is making everyone buy fossil fuels, and GOP fossil fuel investors get that money through share value. Devious in so many ways.
